cramping (repost)

For the past week I have felt cramping which I hear is pretty normal but I am having more localized cramping on one side that gets moderately painful at times. No bleeding or spotting.  Little back pain too.  I call my PCP to see if they could get me in real quick and there is an imaging place upstairs from my work.  So, I thought they could just refer me there and they said no go to the ER.?   I am not doubled over in pain but it is uncomfortable and worrying me.  So, I guess I am off to the ER.  Anyone else have something similar?

I have! I told my doctor about it & he wants me in for an ultrasound in case it's a cyst. Good to hear your listing to your instincts! Do what you have to do & hope everything comes out great for you & baby! Merry Christmas! Smile

I had the same exact thing at 6-7 weeks.  I didn't even want to move...felt like I couldn't walk at times.  I had my u/s shortly after since I'm high risk and things looked great.  They just figured it was burrowing in more :)  Things will be okay!  Lots of changes and stretching already.  Hang in there.  You're in my thoughts.

Yes!  I've spoken with 3 different nurses in my RE's office and all of them say the same thing.  If you're bent over in pain then go to the ER.  The last one said that it's probably just constipation.  She suggested apple sauce and/or prune juice.  She said OTC drugs like Dulcalax would be fine to take, too.  I started drinking prune juice today and have had 1 small BM which is still more than I've had in days.  Also, I think knowing that it wasn't something horrible has helped me relax about it, which is also helping move everything along.
