numb arms

now that I have to sleep on my sides, whichever side I'm sleeping on, my arm gets numb and tingly and I can't move it until the blood settles back where its supposed to. I dunno how to position my arm so it doesn't "fall asleep" anymore. It's getting annoying and happens at least 2x a night. Do you think my weddings rings have anything to do with it? they are a bit tight, but I don't know if it's cutting off circulation

This happens to me too. Even when I am laying propped up on my back watching TV.

I always sleep on my sides, even before pregnancy, and I'm getting numb too.  Definitely not related to your rings.  I take mine off at night and I still get numb. I find I am better off not keeping my arm under my pillow and head.  Instead i try to hug my pillow in front.  It helps, but it doesn't go away.

I don't think your rings have anything to do with it. I get this all the time even when I'm not pregnant. I just deal with it and reposition.

I have this issue as well. It has been a problem long before pregnancy.  Generally when my hand/arms start to go numb it is due to a pinched nerve.  Sometimes it is caused from sleeping on my side.  Grrrr it is no fun for sure.

I usually sleep on my side and stomach but since getting pregnant I have this problem too. I assumed it was just that I was so tired I wasn't switching as often during the night, however, I've noticed that if I prop myself up on a arm it goes numb a lot faster than usual .. so maybe it's a circulation issue?? Who knows!

I asked my doc about this at my last appointment and she said it is carpal tunnel. It's really common in pregnancy. I usually get up and go to the bathroom, and when I come back the blood has circulated enough. It is super annoying I agree.

yeah, it sounds like pregnancy related carpal tunnel. I wear wrist braces/supports when I go to bed and it seems to help.
