It'll happen, right?

Maybe I'm overthinking things but I don't like ANY boy names that DH and I have come up with. I might like it for a day or two and then change my mind. Why is it SO hard to come up with a name that I can like?

Tell me I'm not the only one having issues finding a good name for LO... It'll happen eventually, right? We'll just think of something brilliant and perfect and know that that is it, yeah?

We only have one name on our girl list without a mn. It's very hard and since our very very early u/s prediction was girl... we have a lot of work to do.

I felt like there wasn't a single boy's name in the world that was right for us. We wound up settling on the one we liked best, even though it didn't initially feel like THE name. He's not even born yet, but after several months of using the name, I already can't imagine him as anything else.

It'll happen!

We didn't name DS until it was time to leave the hospital. I'm still not sure we choose the right name and he is 3 weeks old : we couldn't find any names we loved..just ones that were ok to us.

Do you know what you're having? We couldn't think of a single girls name that was IT. We ended up just deciding to stick with our favorite, but it never really felt like 'the one'. As it turns out, we were having a boy so we didn't even have to worry about it.

I can't see how far along you are, but I'm hoping it'll happen. We can't agree on a name either sadly!

We had a horrific time agreeing on a boy name.  We didn't actually pick until the hospital and now it's perfect.

DH and I COULD NOT agree on a girls name - and the ones we both liked "enough" we felt so lukewarm about. it was unnecessarily stressful (hindsight is 20/20!) When i looked at her little face after she was born, our shortlist of 2 names just didn't cut it and we named her Presley after a song that was playing as we held her those first few minutes. "Presley" was totally nms at all, but it fits her perfectly! It will happen...it HAS to!

It will happen eventually because you cant have a "Baby Boy Lastname" forever. That said, we had names for two of our triplets almost immediately, and the third (the second boy) we had no clue. We spent WAY too much time looking and searching and deciding and then changing our minds. We got so desperate that we enlisted the help of a baby name 'pro' to help. But, DS4 was almost a week old by the time we decided and thats only because the insurance/ NICU/ hospital was demanding it. We went with one of the names given to us by the onomastic guru.

Just keep looking, it might be that one of the names you dont really like 100% now feels much better when you see him.

It will happen. My SO hated all of my names and didn't love any of his names. We were Team Green so we picked boy and girl names. We walked into the hospital with 19 names....we still had separate lists! We couldn't even agree on any names to break it down to one list. I felt pathetic but I thought maybe he would see what I went through during labor and give into one of my names. Haha! Finally we compromised that we would spend time with LO and then pick a name. So the day of my induction, we walked in with our two separate lists, she was born....and I knew instantly what her name just had to be. Funny thing, was it was a name on SO's list and her middle name wasn't on either one of our lists. I said the name, he said "we don't have to decide now..." But he loved it. She was named 10min after she was born. If you would have asked me at anytime during my pregnancy if I would have agreed to her name, I would have told you "hell no!".......but I love her name now that she is here!

I sure hope so! We have a top 3 list for our little gal and while we like all the names, we don't LOVE any of them... I'm hoping that when she's born and we see her one will just seem right. We didn't have this problem last time, we had our son's name picked out before we found out the gender (we also had a girl's name picked, but too many people I know have used it so that one's off the list for this baby)
