Finaly MARRIED and starting OPKs tonight!

Hey Everyone!!

We got married Tuesday and our first chance at a baby is coming up in the next couple weeks!!!! I am on CD7 so I think I will start using my OPKs tonight and continue untill I get a possitive (and if I understand right a few days after to make sure I don't have another surge?)  I am going to skip the temping for this month and possibly the next few untill DH gets more onboard with "trying"  right now (being a man) he wants to just "take it easy" and see what happens.  I don't think he understands there is just a few day window, he is possibly on the "you can get pg anytime you have sex" wagan and I want to aviod giving him a sex ed lesson is possible ;) 

 

Speaking of TTC myths does anyone watch Mike and Molly?  They had  TTC episode and it def came across as you can get KU anytime you do it and had DH rolling laughing. 

 ...I have been trying to pload a wedding photo for my sig and it tells me the file is too big, does anyone have tips and tricks for how to resize and get it to laod?

Ambsies' profile has lots of helpful hints about sigs and other technical stuff. But just to warn you, the Bump's sigs have been very glitchy for a few days now. They don't seem to be updating as they should.

I wanted to take the "just see what happens for a few months" approach and then of course AF decided to get all screwy the month we started trying. Temping is definitley giving me a good idea of what is going on down there. I wish the universe didn't pick the worse times to screw with people lol.

Hello and congrats on the recent marriage!  I agree with the others, it may be really helpful to start temping now just to get the hang out it and getting used to taking your temp at the same time each day. I waited until this month to temp (4th month trying) and really wish I started sooner. Good luck!

How exciting!  Best wishes!  And no, I've not seen Mike and Molly but when we first got married, DH thought you could get pregnant on any day of your cycle.  I guess thats what he interpreted from sex ed!

Both DH and I are both laid back about TTC and we got pregnant the first month with DS and second month with DD. Never calculated days or temped or anything. So maybe it will work with you guys too! Good luck and congrats on getting married!

I'm going to put in another vote for temping earlier. I find that it helps me to be more relaxed overall since I can see if I've ovulated vs. obsessing over whether the OPK meant anything.

I can totally relate with DH wanting to just relax and have fun trying at first. We are on cycle 11 and it took me 9 before I got him to understand that temping will just help us. Now that I do it helps ease the stress and other craziness that happens when TTC. GL to you.

Welcome. Good luck. PPs gave good advice. I wholeheartedly encourage temping along with OPKs.

Me: 31 DH: 31. B/W: good. SA: good.
November 2012: Paratubal cyst found during U/S.
January 10, 2013: Lap removed paratubal cyst and Stage 2 Endometriosis.
January 2013: Unmedicated. P4 was 8.4. Meds recommended.
February 2013: Femara 2.5 mg and TI. P4 was 8.5. Meds will be doubled next cycle.
March 2013: Femara 5 mg and TI. P4 was over 11.
April 2013: Femara 5 mg and IUI#1. P4 was 11.4. Post wash over 40 million.
May 2013: Femara 5 mg and TI. Vacation during FW.

good luck! I started out not temping the first month, temped for 3 months and took a break. Hated not knowing what was going on so I am back to temping,

 

Also, love your yellow shoes!

Congrats on the marriage from an October newlywed..GL as well..we're also taking it slow for now and I really think MH has the same idea that you can just get PG anytime you have sex...I really want to sit him down and explain how it all works like he's back in sex ed..but I do not think that's a good idea..he'd probably freak out so to begin with we'll take it slow and 'see what happens!'F
