decrease in activity? Should I be worried?

Well I am a bit worried. At 38 weeks has anyone else felt their baby's moving decrease? I havnt really felt him move all day, should I be concerned?

Sometimes babies have calmer days than others. Drink some cold water or eat or drink something sugary and see if that livens them up a bit. If not, then maybe call the Dr.

I would drink some juice and lay down. That usually makes the baby more active.

They have longer periods of sleep, so that might be what's going on. Pray that it's that way when baby comes out.

I'm experiencing the same thing. I usually get lots of rolls and kicks and yesterday I only got a few faint pokes here and there. I drank a bunch of ice water and some juice and then she woke up for a bit, but overall is much much quieter. Aside from the worry its nice to give my insides a break! ;)

You are probably just getting closer. The baby starts to sleep more and is just running out of room. Like pp said, drink some juice and lay on your side to see if she wakes up. I wouldn't worry.

I think a decrease at 38 weeks can be somewhat normal - the baby is running out of room to move around.
