Fairly large temp dip?

This is my first month temping, but I didn't think I'd have such a large temp difference. I test around 5:30 every morning. Sometimes it is a few minutes earlier, but never earlier than 5AM.  I went from temps around 97.1 to 96.9 (NDB) but this morning it dropped to 96.3. Wondering if this is normal or if it could have something to do with my thermometer? Chart in sig.

Wanted to add - I know there's a dip before O, but is it that large of a dip or does it vary from person to person?

Don't worry too much about one temp...

 Fwiw-I one times get a dip before I O.  

Eta: fat fingered a word on my iPad. Meant sometimes, not one time...but it won't let me fix!  
TTC since January 2012. Me: 25 & DH: 30

DH SA (1/21/13) is perfect! 1st RE appt set for 1/30/13

Definitely don't worry about one single temp, try to look at the chart as a whole. I get big dips a lot, probably because I sleep with my mouth open often. Wait a few days to see what happens. I also get dips before O. Every month can be totally different!

Sometimes I'll get a huge temp dip, like a whole degree, if my allergies are acting up. It's always when I wake up with my mouth completely dry so I know I was breathing through my mouth. Vag temping can be more accurate, but a weird temp here and there isn't anything to worry about.

Me 26 // DH 29
TTC since November 2011
blood work & HSG all clear
DH's SA : Normal
Diagnosed with "unexplained infertility" January 2013
Cycle 16: 50mg Clomid + IUI = Ended in chemical pregnancy
Cycle 17: 100mg Clomid + Trigger + IUI = BFP!! EDD 12/19/13

I get pretty big peaks and valleys with my temps, have a boo at my chart to see what I mean. I've compared my chart to others on FF and there are others like this too. There is really no 'normal' that fits everyone, more what you will find is normal for you.

You started charting pretty late in the cycle so it's hard to get an accurate picture of your month. But I have huge temp variations throughout my month but can still see O. Check out my chart. Once you chart for a whole month it might give you a better idea of what your cycle looks like. It's not a big deal when temps vary that much as long as you are seeing a pattern of O.

Diagnosis: MFI (low count), IVF recommended
Treatment: Anastrozole to increase testosterone
05/2011: 50 mg Clomid + IUI cancelled because there were 4 mature follies
06/2011: 25 mg Clomid + IUI → BFP at 10 dpo
02/2012: Baby boy born!

This is my first month temping also, but I just wanted to let you know that you aren't alone.  My chart has some decent dips as well.  I just assumed it was normal. GL!

My average temps are similar to yours but I've had pretty low dips before (chart below). If it's a one time thing don't worry about it.
