Happy Friday Everyone,
Not sure how many of you remember me, but I am back on these boards. I had a miscarraige back in February and DH and I decided to take a break from treatments.
We have been TTC for over 2 years. We have done three IVF's that ended in 2 BFN's and 1 miscarriage. I've got borderline FSH (9.2) and my husband has low count, motility, and morphology. I am 29 and he is 35. He had a varicocele surgery about 6 months ago. We didn't see much improvement (super slow, gradual increase), but then we did our IUI a few days ago and his numbers had jumped. So, I wanted to share with you wise folk to see if we have a decent shot at a BFP from this IUI. I had 2 mature follies on each side with a few more that would release eggs, according to the doctor. They did a back to back insemination on the 4th and 5th. The 1st insemination was 42 mil sperm count with 57% motility and the next day it was 10 mil with 46% motility. I was shocked at these numbers because he's never had more than 6 million with 10% motility. Maybe the surgery is finally taking into affect? In terms of chances for a BFP with these numbers, does it look decent? My only concern is that we've done 3 IVF's and it didn't work...doing this IUI seems like less of a chance. Any thoughts?
I can't answer your questions, but wanted to welcome you back!
Thanks!
I supposed nobody can actually answer my questions. I just feel like I know everything there is to know about IVF and don't know all that much about IUI's.
Those numbers sound good to me but who really knows, you know?
You may want to ask over on Trouble TTC as well, since a lot of people on that board are currently going through IUIs. Once I started IVF, all the IUI information in my head was lost :)
