constant farting

My LO is constantly passing gas. She poops regularly. Its actually kind of funny but I am concerned why she is doing it so much. Could the recent switch in formula be to blame?

Maybe! I say better gas movin' through than gas getting stuck! Does she seem unhappy/uncomfortable at all?

My baby also farts a lot and she is BF. Like PP said, better that it comes out than stays in!

Mine too. It's louder than my husbands sometimes. He is EBF. I wouldn't worry if there is no discomfort.

I was thinking the same thing. She also makes burps like a grown man. My mom and DH pointed out that it's a good thing because her body is getting rid of it. Also, I BF so it's probably just your LO not formula. As long as your LO doesn't seem uncomfortable I think you're fine.

My DS farts so loud it startles him sometimes. He's EBF, and I honestly think if he was FF he would be exactly the same. It just depends on the way your baby processes things.

My ped hasn't said its bad and we've discuss this issue with him.  LO actually factors more than she burps.  9 times out of 10, we don't get a burp during feedings but the gas continues.

DS burps and farts like a frat boy--they're loud. He let one rip in church today, and someone in a pew near us turned to look! My kid has no shame :-D

As long as they're not bothering your LO, I think you're OK!

My LO was like that, and then it started to be a problem bc they weren't flying free anymore, I switched to Enfamil Gentlease and it helped. i forget if you said you FF or not.
