GTKY- Dream Trip

I loved reading about the furthest people have been from home in Waiting to O. So I thought I would start a thread about it. Where do you want to go on your dream trip?

I have been a lot of great places but I really want to go to Buenos Aires, wine country in Chile, India and Australia/New Zealand. I have wander lust pretty bad and even though we just got back from Thailand in September I am already itching to go somewhere new.

Africa. I think I'll be disappointed if I never get to see it. But after I have kids, I'm not sure when I'll get there...if I'd being them or not.

Another place is Hawaii. We might try to plan a trip there soon now that we've gone through this loss and we don't need to save our vacation time for my maternity, we might just take off somewhere awesome in a month or two.

London is my dream vacation destination. DH agrees. We are going to start saving for it in a few years after our kid or kids are a little bit older.

I just booked a trip to London and Ireland in March!

Definitely both places I've always wanted to go.

We are considering this our "last chance" vacation before we (hopefully) have kids.

Italy, Japan, New Zealand are my dream places.

I would really like to take a trip to Egypt and see the pyramids, but that was a dream trip I let go of awhile back.

I've always wanted to go to Hawaii. Probably mostly because my Mom lived there and my brother and sister were both born there. Their Dad was stationed there. I've just always wanted to see what it was like for her there because she's told me stories over the years..some pretty crazy too! Like growing you know what in the backyard..apparently it was okay to do that in Hawaii? ..and the language is different, like the street she lived on was Like Like but you say it leaky leaky.

My other dream destination outside of the US would probably be Australia.

We went on a Mediterranean cruise in May 2011 and one of our ports was in Egypt.  I was so excited that I would get to see the pyramids and the Sphinx.

Due to on-going revolutions and what-not that port was cancelled -- but I am so determined to get there eventually after being so close to doing it!  Hopefully things will calm down there and go back to "normal" so we can visit one day.

I would love to do a tour of Egypt and see more of the ancient Egyptian sights than just Giza, too.

My dream vacation would be to Iceland. And also to the Galapagos. Pretty opposite ends of the spectrum. I went to Scotland earlier this year and it was so beautiful and amazing! I'd be very happy to go back there.

I tell my husband all the time that the first trip we're going on after he retires is an African Safari.  To be honest I don't enjoy traveling across a lot of time zones.  I've done it on multiple occasions and have discovered I have the most obnoxious internal clock.  It is incredibly difficult for me to adapt to a time change of more than a few hours.

I went to Egypt a few years ago. I was really glad I get to see the pyramids and experience the culture. Although, I don't think I would go back. I didn't feel very safe and being a fair skinned woman was difficult (I dressed very conservatively while there too- no shorts, at least 3/4 length shirts)

I would love to take a cruise to Alaska (which is why it is in my siggy this month). I also want to go to Kangaroo Island in Australia, I have a friend who went, and it looks amazing. I also want to go back to Venice, Italy (I went there when I was a freshman in HS and it would be so romantic with my DH).

I doubt any of these will happen, we're sticking to the continental US for vacations (taking one to VT in Feb!).

I want to do an all inclusive vacation somewhere warm with sand between my toes and a cocktail (or 3) in hand. Hubby and I have never been on a beach holiday together.

We just (well in March) got back from a trip home to the UK and we squeezed in a few days in London as Hubby's bday present for this year. If anyone needs any recommendations, I have plenty!!

My DH is Italian, but he's never been to Italy. We both REALLY want to go and he has a ton of family there, so we'd really get to learn the culture which is the best part!

Greece is another place I want to go,so we'd probably do them both in the same trip.

One of my dream trips would be to go to Europe and just do a castle tour and go into and tour all the old world castle that are all over Europe.  I just love all the history and such that goes along with all the old places in Europe.  I am an amazing race fan and when they are in Europe they usually always go to one or two castles.

Going on the Amazing Race to race around the world for a million dollars would be another dream trip.
