1. Christmas stockings (1 complete, 1 ready to stitch, 2 cut), the Ana-White vintage step stool for the kids bathroom (it was built last week- but, painted this week), and we built one of two providence benches (also A-W free plans) that we're making for our front porch.

2. Stain bench one, build and stain bench two. Finish the stockings and the stocking holders I've been working on.

3. I still really love this sweater I knitted for my daughter when she was 1yo- it still fits her at 3. :) I dyed all the wool by hand- it was really fun.

I really love this rainbow stacker, although it's far from perfect. It gets used every single day, along with the blocks I've made. They're definitely my favorite recent projects.

I'm really, really proud of the stool and bench we've made in the past two weeks, too, because they were projects we worked on together! Until now, anything crafty fell to me and me alone- DH supported me fully, but, wasn't even slightly interested in helping. We had so much fun building the furniture- he's into it! Yay! :)

1.  I finished painting DD's play kitchen and I've got it all together.  Just need to get the knobs on, spray paint the cds for burners and put the sink & faucet on.

Mamarazzi - the faucet we bought from thrift store was too big, so I'm stealing your idea of the RV faucet.  Luckily my FIL works for a huge RV dealership and is coming to visit the 15th from WI and he is going to bring us an RV faucet (yay!).

2.  Need to make the curtain for the front of the sink part and make a dishtowel and apron to match.

3.  I think if I ever get this play kitchen finished, this will be it!

1a. I had to edit this post because TB is being goofy (no surprise there).

1b. This is what I made yesterday! They are fabric letters for our mini-felt board!

2. Lots! I'm going to make some toddler bath paints when I'm done posting, but I also plan on starting some wooden peg people.

3. I think I'm most proud of the pillow I made DS because he loves it SO MUCH...and that makes me feel good :)

I made an impromptu apron yesterday... it's alright... not too bad for my first one, with no instructions...

1. Painted the play kitchen and the burners:

2. Finish painting the doors and get DH to attach them.

3. This felt bird mobile my niece and I made for the nursery:

I was inspired by a very expensive etsy mobile and decided to try it myself.  It was my first time hand sewing anything in a long time and it turned out better than I imagined.  After the project, though, I know why the etsy seller charged so much!  It took a whole day to make it, so I would have charged a lot too!  haha.

That's great!  It's the perfect scale for the kitchen!

Wow, both of those projects are great!  I'm really impressed with the "dyed the wool" part.

Ha, thanks- dying wool is actually so, so easy. I use food coloring, vinegar and a crockpot- bam. The hard part is finding places to hang all the wet skeins so they can dry- and dealing with the scent of wet vinegar-y wool (the smell evaporates once dried ;).

That was my first bandsaw project. It's made from a small section of an inexpensive 2x6. Theoretically, it could be done with a cheap coping saw, but, it's really a project best suited to the might of a bandsaw. If you know someone with one (it's a fairly common tool to find in a wood/metal workers' garage), it's a very fast project (at least the cutting ;).

Neither am I! So, I bought one!

I got a 10" Craftsman for $120 on sale with coupons. But, I know CL here is littered with used band saws. They're honestly very handy tools to have around- I use mine more than any of our other tools. And just a few months ago, the only "power tool" we owned was a drill- our garage has come a long way since. ;)

So happy I just found this board! I definitely need the inspiration and push to get to the many, many projects on my crafty to do list.

As of last night I am halfway done with knitting a mitten scarf for my daughter. Hoping to get it done before Christmas!
