11 Month Old Suddenly Not Sleeping Through the Night

Anyone have any advice?

Our 11 month old usually sleeps through the night and if she does wake up it is very briefly. The last week or so, she is waking up mutiple times, screaming and crying. We take her out of her crib, rock her for a bit and she will fall asleep. BUT the second we put her back in the crib, she starts screaming again.

DS does this during growth spurts and bad teething spells. His usually pass in a few nights.

My LO has been doing this recently too. Could be teething, bad dreams, growth spurt. He's done it in the past and it always passes. Just give it time.

Our LO has been doing this...it took me a couple of nights to figure out she was teething.  I would get her asleep, put her down and 20 min later she'd be up screaming.  So now the routine is to give her some Advil, a couple ounces of formula, and hold her upright with her head on my shoulder until she falls asleep.  Then I transfer her to the crib and she is out for the night.  It probably takes a total of 15-20 min.

My 10 month old just started waking 1-2 times a night.  I grab her, nurse her and she's down in 10 minutes each time.  It's still tiring of course.  It happens.  They'll get over it.  I am done trying to find a reason.  Maybe she's teething, maybe she's needy, maybe she's had a bad dream, maybe she's hungry.  It sucks but it won't last forever.  Hopefully :)

You put it perfectly. I'm done trying to find a reason too. I think there comes a time when parents figure this out. There is NOT always a reason or answer to what our children do and once we realize that, parenting becomes a bit easier.

DS has just started waking up screaming bloody murder in the last few days. I don't know how to help him other than just hold him and hope it passes.
