FF question

Hi ladies, hope you're all having an ok Monday!

I have a question about my FF chart. I am in the 2ww and just waiting for AF, don't plan to test. I am 14DPO and AF is due today based on my last 3 LPs. I checked CM twice today- the first time it was brown tinged creamy, but the second time brown tinged watery.  If I enter watery, FF changes my cross hairs to dotted and moves my O date to CD 13 (from solid CH on CD 14). Just wondering why it did that (I did change it back to creamy just to not have dotted CH).  I know it doesn't really matter at this point but I am just curious why FF would do that.

Thanks in advance

Watery CM is considered fertile CM as well. If you enter fertile CM after ovulation was detected through temp shift, it will change your CHs from solid to dotted. If you take out watery, it will go back. Some people get fertile CM throughout their cycle and I've noticed FF does this, so I actually stopped tracking CM after FF gives me CHs.

Thanks Cole- does the ambigious CM information mean that FF is then just detecting O solely based on temps (in which case it would give me an earlier O date?)

FF gets confused when you enter any fertile CM after you've O'd.

When I get fertile CM after I O, I typically just make a note. (If I want to track it)  For me it's a sign that my period will be here in a day or two though.  :(

What she said - fertile CM will change solid to dotted.

Yep. Although I have no clue why it would change the O date. I don't see how watery CM today would have that impact on your ovulation date.

Yeah its bizarre which is why I'm reaching out to you ladies. An O on CD 13 would make more sense because it would keep all of my temps above the coverline, though I know the coverline doesn't really mean anything.  CD 14 I had to temp earlier than usual which is why I have an open circle.

I wouldn't totally forget about it, I would make a note of it in the comments section.  FF bases your CH's on a number of factors (especially depending on which setting you have it on) and can be quite fickle sometimes. I know it's given me CH's when I haven't ovulated, and other times FF has given me solid CH's and then taken them away based either on temp or CM.  It's a real let down when that happens too.

Some people can have fertile CM after O, but FF doesn't like that.  If you keep charting you may notice a pattern to your CM that gives you even more insight into your body's particular patterns, despite what FF thinks.

 Good luck!
