How many cycles of IUI before you were successful?

About to have my first and am hoping lots of you will say it was on the first try! : TIA

my SIL has had all 3 of her children from IUI. All 3 were successful the first try. With her 1st IUI they fertilized 2 eggs, but only 1 survived.

This was our first try and we were successful! My friend had three before she was successful though.
My hubby and I have been together almost 5 years and married DH is normal (high count and high motility) . I have PCOS and annovulatory hypothalamus. Clomid #1 BFN Clomid #2 in Oct 2012 w/ovidrel trigger and IUI #1 on 11/1/12. 11/17/12 BFP! M/C at 9 wks 12/20/12 Switched to Letrozole 2/23/12 trigger and IUI #2!BFN Letrozole #2 march 2013, CD10 no response, given 2nd dose of Letrozole. Positive OPK & IUI #3 3/28/13 BFN Follistim Apr '13.05/16/13 BFP! EDD 1/24/14 BabyFruit Ticker Lilypie Angel and Memorial tickers

Our first DS was concieved via IUI. We were successful on IUI #8 with FSH injections and femara.

ETA: I was heartbroken when it didn't work for the first few tries..... my RE had to explain to us that the average success rate with IUIs is actually within 8 cycles.

First IUI with clomid FSH and trigger just got my BFP Saturday! I had unexplained female infertility and I'm only 25, my husbands SA was like super sperm so I had a lot in my favor. Good luck! All the appointments and monitoring especially the meds really exhausted me

Hi!

 I am currently 5 weeks pregnant after my 3rd IUI.  I have PCOS and had to do IUI's with Gonal F.

 I totally thought this last IUI was a bust because I had bleeding but then got my BFP!

 Never give up hope!

A good friend of mine was successful on her first IUI. That was after two rounds of IVF. She is due in April!

TTC#1 Me-31 low AMH (0.37) DH-32 perfect
BFP 10/19/2011 missed MC D&C 11/22/11
1. Femara (7.5 mg) only - BFN
2. Femara + Ovidrel+ TI - 2-3 follies- BFN
3. canceled cycle due to cysts
4. Femara + Ovidrel + IUI - 2 follies and 38mil post wash sperm - BFP!

I am friends with President Obama. I asked him to dress up in an Easter Bunny costume and show up at my parents' house with a giant check for $1 million a la Ed McMahon on Easter Weekend. We were going to make them think that they had won Publishers Clearinghouse sweepstakes LOL. As soon as they answered the door, we had our friend stage a robbery - they made it look like everyone in the Publisher's Clearninghouse van was violently murdered. They threw the "bodies" out of the van onto the street and peeled out. We had a fake ambulance and police show up. Then my parents' neighbors came by with a basket of kittens - they were SO cute! Just when my parents were so freaked out by seeing kittens after a murder/robbery AND having won $1 million, we had Pres. Obama take off the Easter Bunny head and say "Surprise!! You're going to be grandparents!" My parents will never forget that moment. - Pillowass
