6 weeks pregnant and very faint light pink spotting please help :(

Hello ladies!

So I am 6 weeks pregnant with my first I'm extremely excited and I go in to hear the baby's heart beat in 8 days. But I have been having very light cramping and when I went pee I noticed some light pink blood on my tissue :( Is this normal? I did have sex about 2 days ago and we had sex 2-3 times all times I had an orgasm sorry I dont know if that would make a difference. I have to wait till morning to give my DR  a call any thought to what this may be...and if spotting is normal would you happen to know why i'm spotting? is it because my uterus is stretching to prepare for the bay? al input is greatly appreciated thank you and god bless!

I'm sorry you are dealing with this. It could be normal but it could also not be. I had some spotting at 7 weeks and had a Dr's appointment already so I mentioned it when I went. They did an ultrasound and everything was fine. The Dr didn't really tell me why it happened but said that about 30% of women spot. I would for sure call your Dr in the morning and tell them what is happening. For now just try to take it easy and lay down. Don't have sex anymore until you stop spotting. Just try to breathe and take care of yourself mama. I'll keep my FX for you!

Thank you so much for the reply... It's incredibly hard not to stress ive been waiting for 4 years to get pregnant my previous husband was killed in afghan and I miscarried right before he deployed and now ive recently just got married after 3 years of healing and just hoping this is it. I did draw blood yesterday to check out my HCG levels anyway so hopefully if those look good everything is fine...

I had some light pink spotting with some mild cramping around four weeks.  My doctor isn't concerned unless the blood is red, heavy and/or the cramping is severe. I went on to have an ultrasound at 7 weeks 4 days and the baby is perfectly healthy with a strong heartbeat.

Yes, spotting can be completely normal in 1st trimester. I had spotting with this pregnancy and so far, so good. I also had spotting and even bright red bleeding with DD and she was born healthy :) I second the previous posters comment about no sex until you see the doctor. It can't hurt to give your OB a call and see if they'll bring you in for an early ultrasound for some reassurance. Hang in there and congratulations on your pregnancy!

I'm sorry you have the spotting. Sex can irritate the cervix as well as any straining for a bowel movement. Sometimes women just spot with no explanation. We can't really tell you honestly, why you are spotting. If it gets heavier to where you need a pad then call your OB. They will tell you what you need to do.

I am still spotting, and I'm 11 weeks.  Unless, you have cramping and a whole ton of blood, you're fine.  Spotting is normal.

I had the same thing, I called my OB, she said that if the blood is light pink, it should be fine.  Especially if you've had sex recently.  She advised me to take it easy, rest and try not to be too active for the rest of the day.  If there were any changes, or painful cramping, to call back.  I was so scared, as I'm sure you are too, but unless it is bright red, or your cramps feel like true menstrual cramps, you should be ok.  Keep your OB updated with your progress.  Good luck!!

This.  You may be having what's called implantation bleeding.  Sounds very typical and most likely has nothing to do with your lucky sex life.
