I hope this isn't some sign of the times...

Hey gals, I'm seeing a sad sort of trend on this board. What's with all the snarky back and forth? Does this happen every day? This is my fourth pregnancy and I've always come to thebump.com for support and friendship. I'm mostly over on the pregnant after 35 board but jumped over here today to see what fellow 1st tris were up to.

I'm sorry I did. Most of the posts seem to supportive in nature, but I've never seen (esp in one day's time!) so many highschool "mean girl" comments.

We're having babies here, folks.

Let's not make the founders of this website wonder if they picked the wrong "b" word.

TB has been this way as long as I have been a part of it.  Just the nature of an internet message board full of strangers. 
Began TTC #1 in January 2011
Confirmation and Removal of Endo - March 2012
+#1 on 4/1/12 - m/c @ ~8w 5d
+#2 Tx cycle 4 - 5 mg Letrozole + 75iu Follsitim & Ovidrel w/ IUI on 11/13/12 - EDD 7/23/13
7 week u/s revealed THREE babies, all with heartbeats. 153bpm, 148bpm, and 136bpm
9 week u/s revealed loss of Baby B. A and C are growing on track. A measuring 9w1d with 172bpm and C measuring 9w0d with 179 bpm.
Elective sex determination u/s on 2/8 revealed... boy AND girl!

Maybe it's because I've been missing for the past few days... but I haven't seen anything snarky lately. At least no worse than any other board. I feel TB is waaay better than when I was on TK years ago. Nothing but stressed out bridezillas

It's not "force them to listen or leave."  But really the snarky posts only come out when there are posts about I just came off BCP and I'm late a day, am I pregnant?  or I'm 19 and go to school with no financial stability, tell me why people judge me.  I have found the community to be quite supportive for most other questions--even my dumbs ones about disappearing symptoms etc.

Oh one of THESE. This has never happened before. EVAR. Thicker skin get some. Just because we are having babies doesn't mean that we've suddenly gone stupid. You can't rely on Internet strangers to coddle you. It's not realistic. You've got friends and family to be your "yes people". Don't expect it from people who don't know you. I will never get over the damned sense of effing entitlement some bizsnatches feel the minute they sign up and start posting. Build your friendships like you would IRL. This is not the friend.o.matic the minute you join.

1st tri si always ridiculous and TB has been catty/snarky/dramaliscious as long as I've been on board, which is about as long as you've been on board so I'm surprised we've had such differeent experiences.
