Ergo Shearling

How easy is it to carry your LO in the ergo when they are, say, a year old? I love the new shearling ergo but am not sure if ill be able to hold my LO in there for too long this winter and next. I have the k'tan for him now and it works but for longer periods of time am I going to feel like keeling over in the ergo?

I love my Ergo for my 17 month old. It is really comfortable and he falls asleep in both the front and back carry positions. I see us using it until he is at least 2.

Do you find it easy to carry him around in it? I'm glad they're good for that time period. I was worried I'd get the shearling and he would be too big next winter but he will only be one then.

I was carrying my almost 5 year old in the Ergo comfortably tonight. I don't make a habit of it, but its comfortable, and she likes it.

It is so pretty, but I hear kiddos get hot in carriers anyway. I'd be afraid he would sweat to death in that thing! Unless you live in Alaska, I'd pass. This material doesn't seem like it would "breathe" very well.

It is cute, but wow, I would never buy something like that.  I get hot with just the regular one on, unless you are hiking outdoors for long periods of time in the dead of winter I do not see the use in this.  Wear a coat and wrap it around baby and wear some mittens!

The shearling is removable but this is all good to know. Maybe ill go with the regular one and just get the jacket. I live in Toronto so we do get very cold weather. This year I'm keeping my LO inside but next year I plan on going for winter walks.
