Caught me off guard..


Went to the doc this morning and he said he didn't expect to see me next week.  He said baby is already in the birth canal and in position.  Effaced 40-50%.  I'm 37 weeks and with DD I was induced at 40 weeks, 3 days...so this is all new to me. As far as going into labor naturally..  He said he highly believes she will come this week.  My question is, is anyone else in this position as well?  And how long does the baby hang out in the birth canal?  This week is going to  be torture because my family just got here for Christmas and DH keeps asking me if my water broke..lol...I don't even have.my bag packed!!

Oh holy cow!  That is just crazy!  I don't have any experience with that, but your post kind of scared me lol.  Crazy!  Good luck with everything, and I guess bags packed is a priority this evening.

crazy is right...i hate when Dr's say that though cause who knows how long you'll stay like that.

i guess it's better to get prepared ASAP just in case though...get that carseat in and pack your bag

My LO has been engaged since 37w. I am 38w4d today and nada. I don't think it really means anything, but I can bet your LO will arrive in the next 5 weeks :)

Obviously your doc knows way better then I do, but I've been walking around with the baby engaged, 2-3 cm and 80% effaced for 2 weeks :(
