What holiday gift for a DC with ever-changing teachers?

My kids started DC in September. In October moved to 3 year old class. In November 1 of the main teachers left (moved away). Now, starting this week, there has been some sort of "re-structuring" and the administrator and asst administrator are the teachers for my kids class. They have floaters that are usually helping out in the afternoons when I get there to pick them up, they are consistent.

What the heck do I do for gifts? I was thinking of just bringing in a big platter of donuts or some sort of food for the whole center.

That is what I would do, too.

Yup, a center wide gift will cover you. Something similar happened last year and I got a tin of cookies I hate that you can't just bake anymore...

Food or candy. I would just make sure you follow the guidelines such as no peanuts, etc. Even though the kids won't be eating it, the staff will eat it during the day so you still want to watch what you bring in. The only idea would be a gift that is more for the classroom such as books, games, art supplies, etc although I would not do that if the kids are at a big daycare center type place as they typically have a corp budget for that stuff but at a small independent center, that would be great. We do that in my DD's PreK class which is run by the schools Early Childhood Programs and just has no extra money in the budget for many new things and they rely a lot on donations and fundraising events that the parent council does durintg the year so the extra's that families give the classroom vs to the teachers is great. The teachers post a wish list of items so you know what is really needed.

If you want those teachers to really love you, find out when they have lunch or planning time and order them 3-4 pizzas (depending on how many teachers there are). Teachers are always thrilled to have a free lunch, especially since they are usually eating on the go. If you can find another parent to go in with you on it, all the better.

Brought to you by your friendly neighborhood preschool teacher :)
