zoloft

H is anyone taking zoloft for anxiety/panic during pregnancy?Or have you had the baby already and did everyhthing turn out ok?

I believe zoloft is contraindicated in the third trimester -- it has been linked to behavioral disorders.

I took Zoloft last time with DD and she came just fine! I am still taking it now, and at 36 weeks DD 2 is said to be very healthy as well. I also manage a psychiatry practice, and Zoloft is one of the safest meds for anxiety/depression while pregnant and breastfeeding.

I'm 35 weeks and taking fluoxetine (Prozac).  My LO is measuring fine and none of my doctors are worried about side effects (my pregnancy dose is 20 mg, before pregnancy I was at 60mg).

I haven't done the research on sertraline (Zoloft).  Are you currently in your 3rd trimester, or are you planning ahead?

according to safefetus.com (which I like since it has the FDA ratings with explanation) it is a class C which means that it should only be taken if the benefits outweigh the risks.

I have panic/anxiety attacks and I took zoloft in both pregnancies. I even breastfed while taking it with DS. I decreased my mg and everything with DS is fine as well as DD that I am preg with now. If you think the benefits outweigh the risks, talk to your dr. about a suitable dosage. I was not comfortable going over 50 mg, however, my MW says there are women who take up to 150 mg of it. GL and don't let others judge you.

I normally take Cymbalta but it causes heart defects so I'm taking Zoloft until I'm done having kids.  My DS1 is perfectly fine after a pregnancy on Zoloft and DS2 is doing just peachy.

I have been on it for years for depression and anxiety and my Dr assured me it is fine. I was nervous about 3rd trimester use but they said many women take it. I did cut my dose in half but then had to raise it a lil on drs suggestion. 2 if my friends took it and their 3 yr old and 2yr old are fine. I'm unsure about BFing though. I will in the beginning but then thinking of switching to formula? Anyone have advice on that?
