Anyone waiting to unveil gender results for Christmas?

I knew going into my 2nd trimester ultrasound  that I didn't want to find out just yet and my husband was anxious to find out prior to baby's due date. So we both agreed that we could share this happy moment unveiling the results with our parents at Christmas. It's been comical to listen to our family members bugging us on opening early. So, just in case anyone can't help themselves I've hid the sealed ultrasound in my house. The most antsy member is my mother who badly wants to buy cute outfits while shopping. We haven't had a phone conversation since our appointment that she hasn't asked, "If I know yet?". Now I have growing calling list of friends that want me to call on Christmas... funny enough.

This beats any gift that my husband and I could purchase for each other. Anyone else having a unveiling party?

My husband & I are! My doctor thinks I might be farther along, so we have a dating ultrasound tomorrow- if we find out the gender (which is not likely, but possible, depending on how I measure), my family is coming over to our house just before Christmas to do a gender cake reveal Smile We are also framing the ultrasound pic for our parents for Christmas- I can't wait!!!! The only thing- if we DO find out tomorrow, the ultrasound pic & gender will be put in an envelope and IMMEDIATELY taken to a bakery- otherwise I'll look! I admire your restraint not to peek- I know I wouldn't be able to do that!!!!!!!! Congrats & Merry Christmas!!!!

Our 20 wk is 12/20 - we'll be passing the envelope directly off to a friend (no temptation to open it!). That friend is making 2 stockings - one boy, one girl. She will wrap the correct stocking and we'll open the gift Christmas morning - just the 2 of us. We will be having all the grandparents over for breakfast to share the news before it "becomes official" on Facebook. I've never been so excited for Christmas!!

I am giving my sister the envelope tomorrow and she is going to pick out some clothes for us to open up Christmas morning just the two of us.  I stole the idea from a story a friend told me.  Now we are trying to think of a nice way to tell the Grandparents when we go to our family's houses later in the day

 

Christmas can not come soon enough !

We had the anatomy scan this morning and are waiting until Christmas to find out if it's a girl or boy. We're still not sure if we're going to do a cake or have a pink/blue teddy bear wrapped for DS to open.

We are doing a elective 3d ultrasound on the 19th to fins out baby's sex. We bought ornaments in the shape of pink and blue mittens. To wrap and give grandparents for them to find out.

We have our ultrasound scheduled for this Monday. There is no way I could wait, but I thought about waiting to tell every one else. I would like to have our boys open a box of pink or blue balloons as a way to announce but I am not sure I would be able to pull the picture off the way it is in my mind.

We did last time. I was due in May and had the U/S right before Christmas. I made little gingerbread girls with little pink skirts. It was pretty cute.

We are waiting to tell our parents!  We weren't able to find out at the 20 week u/s so I am going back tomorrow and our parents don't know.  I think they will be surprised and happy! :)

We just have to find a cute way to do the reveal.

I think this is adorable and would have totally have had our baby's sex reveal wrapped as a present for us to open had it made sense for my pregnancies.

I don't like sex/gender reveals as far as parties I think it is too much, but as a present on Christmas for you and DH or with everyone there is super fun!

I have the a/s on the 21st, so DH and I are doing a reveal at my family's Christmas Eve dinner.  I am brining dessert.  It's either going to have pink or blue (possibly both) piping on the cake. Everyone has been hounding us since the 13 week u/s, so this way they can all find out together.

I won't find out until December 26.  It's okay though. I don't mind waiting.  It's just something to look forward to the day after.

We are.  My husband has hidden the sealed envelope so I can't peek!  We're opening it together first thing Christmas morning (no family members are visiting for Christmas, so it will be just us two)

We go in Wed. the 19th for our A/S!!! We are both going to find out and then tell everyone on Christmas day, and/or through Christmas cards. The exception is that we will tell my dad and brother who live with us on the day we find out :)

Yea we are waiting and thank goodness we only have to wait a day. We found out we are having a girl this morning. My mom accidentally found out when I showed her the ultrasound DVD cause I didn't know they wrote it on the screen. According to the Chinese gender chart, which my MIL is dead-set on being accurate cause when she was in the neonatal unit at the hospital that's what she used, we are supposed to be having a he. I can't wait to see the look on her face. I kept telling her you can't go by that.

+1 to God :) 

I got peppermint filling we are going to put inside chocolate cupcakes and then top with vanilla frosting as a dessert.
