Need Crafty Moms Help- Baptism Decor

OK, so I am planning the Baptism of my twins for next month, and we are on a tight budget. I don't know what to do for decor since I have boy/girl twins. Any Ideas? Is pink/Blue with crosses too much like a baby shower?

Also, if any of you are super crafty and find things very cheap, please tell me where. Everything I am seeing is super expensive.

What kind of decorations are you looking to make? Centerpieces? Wall decor?

I think pink and blue is a little like a baby shower but I've never been to an infant baptism to even know what others do. Could you go with all white? or maybe silver or gold?

http://www.orientaltrading.com has some stuff just type in Baptism.  I think a white and sliver/gold theme would be nice!  Or blue and pink wouldn't be bad just make sure it looks like a baptism not a shower.  Go to http://www.catholicchildrenscompany.com/baptism/accessories/partygoods.htm there are some ideas here too. Or my best friend lately PINTREST

My little guy just got baptised. We made tissue paper pom poms and hung them from the cieling around the food table. They looked so cute and elegant. You can buy them from party city, if you dont want to make them. Just look up how to make tissue paper pom poms on youtube to learn how.

Also, for the favors I made chocolate pops (using molds), I found molds that said baptism and also molds of a little boy praying.

Look on pintrest for baptism ideas, they have really nice photos to get some ideas. Good luck!

I think white with gold or silver would be better; for some reason the blue AND pink seems a little too baby shower-ish. Or if you want a color, I'd go with something more neutral.

I did a light green and yellow theme for Nate's April baptism..

I am quite proud of my flower basket with lemon and lime accents....

Oh my gosh, why did I delete my pin board on this?

Ok, so I got sick right before my little guy's baptism this fall, and ended up not doing hardly anything to decorate, since I left it all last minute.. my bad...

Anyways, here's what I was planning on doing:

http://www.etsy.com/listing/117365947/baptism-decoration-god-bless-your-childs?ref=exp_listing  -simply print out letters, trim to size you want, mount on pretty paper & hang. Super easy.

http://www.etsy.com/listing/77554981/baby-boy-baptism-christening-cupcake - I had made a similar design on the computer, and planned to print, cut, then glue onto toothpicks.

I can't find a good image, but was also going to do a clothesline type of picture display of cute photos of DS & our family, along with printed off blurbs from the bible that were applicable, and other little religious sayings.

All it would have cost me was time, paper, and glue.  Too bad I was super short on time...

GL!
