Baby on the Brain

Hi everyone,
I've been reading your posts for a couple weeks and decided to bite the bullet and introduce myself.

I am 28newly and my husband as well. I have been off my bc pill for about 2 wks. I was in yaz. We are "letting nature take its course" or "not preventing and not not trying"... To me that means were ttc.

I am not quite sure when my lmp was as I did technically get it when on the pill last month, but then again as soon as the last one left my system. I am sure it will take a few months to figure out my cycle and calendar.

Hoping for some natural miracles!

Hi.

CLECyclist

TTC since October 2011.
DX with Non-IR PCOS in October 2012.
Missing RIGHT tube due to a prior surgery to remove cyst-zilla (40 lbs!) at age 12.
HSG showed tube was blocked - cleared by dye. DON'T DO CLOMID WITHOUT AN HSG!
Cycle #8 with 50mg Clomid & TI = BFN
Cycle #9 with 50mg Clomid & TI = No response.
Cycle #10 with Clomid 100mg + Ovidrel shot = BFN
Cycles #11 & 12 are unmedicated (No temping/testing/charting)

Welcome and hope your stay here is a short one. Don't be alarmed if you don't get AF right away, for some women it takes some time to get regulated after coming off the BCP. GL
*** TTC since 10/2010 (no planned bc since 2007) Me (31) Sept 2012 - DX Luteal Phase Defect. HSG 8/2012: both tubes are open, cervix and lining look good; hypothyroidism; DH (35) SA Normal Clomid 50mg, trigger
10/2012 BFFN 1st cycle on clomid 50mg w/trigger shot, progesterone level 19.7, cd28 - hcg level 0.
***12/2012 Cycle #25 TTA break until March 2013***

Welcome and good luck. I also was on Yaz and went off it four and a half months ago. My cycles have been really long since I stopped BC...over 45 days. Hopefully you will regulate more easily than I did!

Just some things that I found helpful when I started this journey:

Read the newbie link. You can find it above the "community rules".

Watch "The Great Sperm Race" on youtube. It's about an hour long but packed with great information.

Sign up for fertility friend and do the tutorials. You can click on any chart you see in a siggy and it will take you there.

Read Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. I learned so much about my body and what the heck it was up to. I recommend it to all my friends.

Now take this advice with a grain of salt but it definitely helped me. Big Smile Good luck!

I just meant that since hubby thinks not preventing is not necessarily trying that for now there will be no kits, or aids in the process. I hope I did not offend anyone. All babies are miracles no matter where they come from or how we come by them

Spontaneous is the preferred term for conception achieved without the aid of fertility treatment, FYI.

And I would at the very least consider temping. There are valuable things to be learned about your body by doing so.
