1. Was the RCS easier then the inital CS? I can't being to say how much easier it was with a planned. My first I labored prior and honestly didn't feel human for close to 9 weeks out. This time the surgery itself was better, recovery a million times. I showered myself the next morning, went home a day earlier and truly felt pretty normal about a week out.
2. Did anyone deal with itching about 3 hours after cs? I had horrible itching, to a point where I was breaking skin. Lasted for about 6 hours. I had this long lasting morphine drip directly into my epi and I'm told that was what the cause was. I'm not interested in going through that again, that was worse (for me) then dealing with the pain. I itched with both, I requested the med to help with the itching and it was ver minimal after that.
3. Did you find difficulty taking care of your older child after the RCS? Any suggestions on what I can do to prepare her/me for the recovery. DD will be 3. My DS is 3 and I feel the transition was pretty smooth. He adjusted well, knew he couldn't jump on my lap for a couple weeks and did well. He is pretty independent in general and was fine to just have me at home. From the start we made sure to encourage him being the "big helper" and let him hold (supervised obviously) and help with his new brother as much as possible. I find that my friends that didn't allow that and would say things like, "No he's to little for you to help" had a harder time adjusting the older sibling.
4. Did the RCS, is there any further scars or did the OB go right over the first one? Not a vain question, just wondering how others were done I actually just looked at my scar today, it's basically right over
