Anterior Placenta

I have an anterior placenta and I'm wondering if those of you who also have one could tell me when you started feeling baby move? I felt one kick about a week ago but nothing since. I'm really excited to start feeling him regularly... but I know having an anterior placenta can make it a little later before I can really feel him.

I had an anterior placenta with DD. I felt the first movement at 21 weeks. It was probably around 25 weeks when H could feel.

I  have an anterior placenta this time - it's so much different than the first time. Anyway I felt the first movement pretty early on, like 17 weeks or something but then I felt basically nothing for nearly 2 weeks. Since about 22 weeks, I would say they were more noticeable and frequent.

If this is your first I would expect you to see a steady increase in movement starting in the next couple weeks.

I have an annterior placenta this time and started to feel occational movement around 18 weeks and now at 20 weeks I feel baby about a dozen times in a day. However, I've been through this before and know the exact sensation of baby movement. Last time I didn't have an anterior placenta and didn't start to consistently feel DS until 22 weeks.

Oh, yes. This is also my first so yeah... I expect to feel it later for that reason as well.

I started feeling the occasional flutter around 17 weeks. In the last week or so I have felt more frequent and stronger movement.

I started feeling her at 22 weeks, but not really with any regularity until 24 weeks.

I didn't start to feel daily movement until 21-22 wks but there will still be days where I feel him a ton, and then days where I only feel him a few times during the day.  I have been feeling him a lot more frequently the past few days, so I hoping that those days of infrequent movement are gone :)

18 weeks 6 days.

Holy crap, I can't imagine what it would feel like if I didn't have an anterior placenta.  Baby has been delivering roundhouse kicks for a couple weeks now and it's enough to keep me up at night sometimes.

I just started feeling stronger kicks at week 24.  I hadn't felt anything since one strong kick at week 16.  It is unnerving because DS never stopped kicking.

I had an anterior placenta with DD and didn't really feel her 'till around 24 weeks.  I never felt her frequently even after that.  It was crazy how little I felt her.  DS after her was a posterior placenta and it was just amazing how much I DID feel him.  With DD I'd say I only felt about 20-25% of all her movement all the way to the end.

ETA: another thing that stinks a bit with an AP is that the 3D u/s where you can 'see' the baby doesn't work through placenta.  Sometimes they can see around the placenta by kinda aiming from the side.  It will depend on just where your AP is.  MFM explained that for a regular u/s the waves go kinda straight through but with the 3D kind it's more like a net the way the waves go so you'll see the placenta not the baby since it's in between. :-(
