Naptime schedule

I would like to start getting my LO on a nap time schedule.  Is it too early or have I waited to long to do this? I would prefer to do this as my mother (daycare) has said she will put her on one, if i don't.  Unfortunately, I go back to work next week, and while I know it is going to take some time to get it in sync, I need to do something.  I don't want my mom setting a schedule I can't follow through on.

Your mom should be doing what YOU want, not the other way around! It is hard at such a young age to set a loose nap schedule but it's never too late. My LO stays with a family member a few days a week, my mom one day and me the rest of the week and we ALL have a different schedule for him. Getting in sync isn't always easy when your baby goes various places.

Try reading sleep cues and be consistent in what you do. That seems to be key.

We started LO on the EASY routine at an early age and we still do it and it works terrific for her.  She Eats, Activity (play mat, bouncer, tummy time), Sleep (look for sleepy cues and watch the clock for about 1 - 1 1/2 hrs) and then it's You time!  This was amazing for us and LO fell right into a "routine". That's the best "schedule" they are gonna get at such an early age!

This is what we do and it works pretty well for my LO!
