Serious jolts going on "way down there"!?

All night I have been having some serious jolts of pain way down there.  It's happening in the front and the back.  I was curious/Google-ing and read it might be her head facing down and resting on nerve endings.  Anyone hear of this/have this type of pain happen?

YES! Its not super often but I have noticed it more this past week. Tonight baby was moving around A LOT and I could feel her pushing down into my pelvic bone and I'd get this shot of pain. She then turns and pushes down on my hip bones, making them feel like they are about to break.

I was having that over the weekend.  It felt like little explosions in my cervix.  The first time it happened, I thought for sure my water had broken.

Pretty sure baby boy was determined to kick or claw his way through my cervix today... I kept having to stop suddenly in my tracks and was getting some seriously funny looks at work!

I have had this happen to me a few times. There's actually not really any pain involved with mine but the movement does feel very "jolty". It comes out of nowhere! Whenever that happens I like to do a few reps of kegels and everything down there feels a lot more in place haha. Try it out, it works for me.

I believe the technical term is "lightening crotch!"  Wink  I have been having it like CRAZY and it stops me in my tracks literally.  Not sure what causes it, but my Doc says it is the baby dropping down.

I had this happen too! For weeks it felt like a pulled muscle on and off but then I would randomly get shooting pain down "there" and also down my leg. Sometimes it's so bad I nearly burst into tears. I asked the dr at my 29 week appointment and she said it's the baby finding a comfortable position, right on your nerves! It also means the baby is head down and ready and waiting to come out! I'm now 31 weeks and it's still painful but knowing I only have to wait a little longer is helping me get through it :)
