Migraine Relief at Urgent Care

I went in last night and was given 3 bags of saline (I was dehydrated and 3 attempts at uncooperative veins), a dose of IV Zofran (worked right away), Dose of IV Magnesium Sulfate (strange feeling to my body), dose of 100mg IV Benedryl (holy high!) Then to top it of IV dose of Decodren. And 2 Tylenol because I had a low grade fever. That did the trick. I'm calling my neurologist for med help...

I'm so sorry that you are going through this! I saw a Chiropractor today for my migraines and omg, it was amazing. I'm going back again next week to figure out my treatment plan.

My neurologist called me back and have me Prednisone as needed and I'm starting magnesium 250mg twice a day to help keep them away. Also gave me the Zofran and still said I can take the Dexamethasone which is a C but the benefits outweigh the risks. That will be a last resort. I was up at 4:30am with a rush of energy though! The saline really did a good job!
