Bottle warming

Do you warm LOs bottles? what do you do when you are out? I was planning on EBF but it just wasn't working, and I feel house bound because I don't know how to have bottles ready when we are out.

You can take a bottle of room temp. water and your formula all measured out separately.  Then mix when LO is ready to eat.  That way it isn't super cold.

This is exactly what we always did and it worked out great.

We would use the pre-mixed formula when we are out so it's always room temperature and ready to go.  Sometimes our water is cold when we use the powder mix.  But we have a Kiinde bottle warmer, and it would be portable enough to take with us if we were planning to stay at a friends house for a while.  It's great bottle warmer!

You can also make the bottle and then sit it in a cup of hot water for a few minutes to warm up.

Has baby refused cold bottles? Not all do and I wouldn't make more work for yourself than necessary. I BF'ed and pumped with my son and he didn't care if milk was hot or cold. He was just hungry!

We warm bottles at home ( we use the tomee tippee) and LO gets room temp bottles when we are out and about. There is also insulated bags you can buy that are made to keep bottles warm or cold. I've seen them at target and Bru.

A lot of babies will take it room temp or even cold. Try room temperature and if your LO liked it all you need to do is keep a bottle of room temp water and mix it when you're ready to feed. If you absolutely have to warm it, there are portable bottle warmers that you can plug into a car adapter.

I too wanted to EBF, and LO has other ideas.  So I pump and bottle feed.  If we are out I pour a bottle and put it in a pouch with ice packs.  Do you have LO on a feeding schedule?  If so, you know about when LO is going to be ready for a bottle.  Then I'd pull it out a little while before time to feed and let it come up to room temp.

Tried room temp bottles today and had no problems :. She ate them a little slower than when they are warm, whig probably isn't a bad thing.. We were out and about pretty much all day and had no problems!
