How to attach this to the wall?

I want to do something like this

http://www.simplecrafter.com/tutorial-yarn-covered-monogram-letter/

but how would I attach it to the wall? I can't just use those 3M velcro things as they won't stick to the yarn on the back of the letter.

Maybe I'm missing some obviously solution here.....

Could you use one of the 3M clips and hook it through the yarn on the back side?

Easy as long as you can put a nail hole in your wall. You know how picture frames hang? Like that comb thing on the back? (I have no idea what they're actually called)

You can buy those and many different types of hangers at a hardware store. Cover the letter with the yarn and you will still be able to screw one of those picture hangers on the back of the letter.

I think I would use tacky glue to attach a loop of pretty ribbon to the back. If you want an "invisible" way to attach it, run some yarn or ribbon through the strings on the back so that it catches about an inch worth of strings.  (It would look like a sideways belt-loop.) Then you've got a loop that can catch on to a 3M hook. Or since the letter is made of paper-mache (sp?), you could probably cut a hole in the back of it before you wrap the yarn around, and a nail or hook could slide through the yarn into the hole.

I totally hot glued my kid's name to his wall when he was born.  I hot glue things to the wall in my classroom all the time too.  It will stick for YEARS, but comes right down with no issues (usually - might depend on the type of or age of your walls if you want to try it.)
