There's nothing wrong with the activity set you asked about, but I have two that are similar, and honestly, both DDs just bang on them, and the noise and lights drive you insane after a while. And the legs are never sturdy enough for a baby learning to pull themselves up. I recently bought a wooden cube about 2 ft each way, with all sorts of letters and animals and numbers and beads for my older girl, and she loves it, but DD2 loves it too! There aren't any parts she could pull off, and she just sits there and moves the beads back and forth and plays with the spinning letters, etc. And I don't have to replace batteries every five seconds. Just make sure if you get one that the paint is water based, and not made in China with lead based paint. Don't laugh, it happens all the time.
