Hopefully the vagicwand has nothing but good news to show!
Same sex couple - 31 years old - donor sperm, carrying our first due to dx of DOR/POF in Nov. 2012.

Low AMH, AFC - 6, Normal FSH, SS-A (RO) Antibodies (Autoimmune issues), tubes clear

IUI# 1 - December 19 - Done too early (24-36hrs before Ovulation) - BFN

IUI# 2 - January 16 - Femara + HCG trigger - BFN

IUI# 3 - March - 150-225iui Puregon, stimmed 16 days with only 1 follicle - nearly missed surge so no trigger - Progesterone - BFN.

IUI # 4 - "Pokey-Pokey" April 9 - 100mg Clomid CD 3-7, HCG Trigger + Progesterone - 2 follicles! IUI done after one O'd and before the 2nd one did. - BFN

...Moving on to trying to get my Partner pregnant with donor sperm. Hoping to come back and try with me, or do IVF with my DP's eggs eventually. My nerves are too frazzled for now

Yes! I'm on my way to clinic with wife now! We have to drive two hours so I'm knitting Christmas hats in the car and praying that I have some nice follicles.

How was your report? Looks like I have a good 17mm follicle that grew fast this week, going in tomorrow and Tuesday and we are expecting an insemination Tuesday or Wednesday. Fingers crossed!

Awesomeness! My report was good : two happy follies on the right 17mm and 20mm with a 9mm lining! RE is happy with my response to Femara and she gave me a big hug. And a trigger shot.

IUI 5 tomorrow, fingers crossed! We'll get to test on new year's eve.

All the best for your IUI!!! But I thought I read you were putting your eggs in your love partner's ute? If not we are going to be IUI buddies and hopefully BFP buddies too!

Hi there Mollykelley. Congratulations on your follicles!
I suppose following Manada's and my situation can be a bit confusing. Our doc has trouble keeping track, too.
Our original plan and continuing goal is that Manada and I will each be able to get pregnant with our own eggs via IUI.
Originally I was going to start insemination in April and Manada was going to follow in two years or so. But we found out that Manada has diminished ovarian reserve and so the doc recommended that we not wait until April and that we start with Amanda. As we have started her cycle monitoring, we have also been following up with my fertility stuff like the hsg so we could know our options.

I have a good ovarian reserve but I have uterine polyps and a blocked Fallopian tube although possibly from the polyps so it is possible that I will have trouble conceiving because of that. So our doctor has noted that it might make sense to consider partner egg donation and IVF. And I think that is a wonderfully romantic idea and am trying to convince Manada of it. She is concerned about the financial cost IUI is coverednot the sperm and IVF is not.
Either way though we are going to give it a go with IUI up to four times with Manada and her beautiful prematurely old eggs that seem to be working out well this month.
So yes, you will be IUI buddies. Best of luck to you!

we each want to carry (at different times)

Manada was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve and we did 4 IUIs with Manada between Dec and Apr

1st IUI December 19, unmedicated, BFN

2nd IUI January 16 with Femara and trigger, one follicle: BFN

3rd IUI March 13 with Puregon (follistim) at 225 per day; two follicles but second was small: BFN

4th IUI mid April. 100mg Clomid cycle days 3-8; two follicles: BFN

decided to try with me and then discovered a fluid-filled left fallopian tube (hydrosalpinx)

Laparoscopic surgery on June 3 discovered stage 4 endo on both fallopian tubes. Both tubes were removed.

Will be moving on to IVF at some point. Still have to determine whether Manada will carry my eggs first or whether I will.

My love already broke down our situation and I see is trying to recruit you all to her wonderfully romantic IVF idea!... So yeah

I was back today, an 18.5mm follicle, so we are looking at iui Wednesday or maybe Thursday, depending on how much it grows tonight and where my surge is.....

Fingers crossed for today! Exciting stuff!!!!!!!!
