I'm not sure where you are located, but the fabric on the magic is really hot. I bought the carseat because of safety and because of the boot. Even with a Denver winter, the carseat was really hot. We transitioned dd to her convertible earlier than expected (@ 4 mos) because she hated it so much she would scream when we put her in the seat. Otherwise the canopy is great and the carseat is high quality.
We used it as a snap n go on our UB Vista so I can't comment on the matching stroller.
Despite the large canopy there were times that the coverage was not good enough. I used our ROSK (rain or shine kids) blanket to tie on the carseat and keep dd well shaded. It also worked well to keep people from touching dd while she was little.
