Anybody else?

I was wondering if anyone else's LO isn't picking up food yet and eating on their own? I put puffs on tray and my LO tries to get them. However, she can't pic the, up and feed herself. So, she obviously doesn't have pincher grasp or anything yet. Anyone else? Or is it just my LO?

Nope, not just yours. DS isn't using a pincer grasp yet. He also doesn't seem overly interested in chewing, so we're still on purees.

Oh good! We aren't alone! LO can pick up the puffs, but has zero interest/understanding of putting them in his mouth.

I put one on a spoon twice during each meal so he knows they are food. He grimaces every single time, then chews/sucks until he eats them...but, he sure doesn't like it.

He loves purees with oatmeal/grains and has no problem eating three big bowls of that a day.

I guess they will get there? Keep trying? But, you're not alone!

DS doesn't have a pincher yet really, we give him mostly big pieces of things he can hold in his fist and take bites of. He's also good at grabbing a fistful of something like rice and getting about half it in his mouth lol.

The CW hopes to develop a series based on Battle Royale, a Japanese film about teens fighting to the death. They say they got the idea when Jared Padalecki walked into a room filled with Supernatural fan girls." -EW

My LO will pick stuff up, but she usually just licks the puffs or whatever is in front of her for a minute and then throws it on the floor. Very little actually makes it into her mouth.

we're the opposite- Luke will eat cheerios all day long (and other small things he can feed himself) but it takes him 2-3 sittings to eat a 4oz pack of puree.

EVelyn has no problem picking them up and goes after them with an unmatched zealousness, but she has a hard time getting them into her mouth.  Only about1 out of every 3 or 4 makes it into her mouth. She likes them better than her purees.  I haven't given her any other food to self feed yet tho

Macy can grasp bigger things like mum mums, but not small things like puffs. She tries to get them in her mouth but she's not coordinated enough yet. They usually end up stuck to her face somewhere or on the floor. It's funny, if she does get things in her mouth a lot of times she will stick her tongue out and they'll fall out anyway.
