Teeth update? Any babies out there without teeth still? - UPDATE!!!!!

So...still no teeth.  I have to admit, I love it!  She is so stinkin' cute with her gummy smile and when she scrunches up her face and gives us the biggest smile, you can see both top and bottom gums touching and it's just the cutest thing.

JW if anyone else out there is still in the gummy club?!

UPDATE!  So...Sofie woke up with a tooth this morning!  I can't believe it.  WE HAVE A TOOTH!!!!!!!!!

She has shown no signs of teething at all.  That could totally change with future teeth, but I am so thankful that this one just literally appeared without any indication.  :)

I just wanted to say that my younger sister didn't get her first tooth until 15 months. She was walking before she had teeth. It was quite cute.

lol!  1/2 a tooth?  Dang!

It's funny - you hear about the ranges of different milestones and events happening, but it's weird being one of the last.  I totally know she's fine and my doc is soo not worried.  Ah well - we'll keep enjoying the gums while they are here.  I know nursing has been a breeze without having to deal with teeth!  She spiled me. :)

Yes, just one broke out but only 1/2 is out. Poor baby is going through a rough time! I love the gummy smile though!

Omg, I can't imagine how you all have dealt with teething babies.  I look at Sofie now and see how much more expressive she is.  Though she can't tell me what hurts, it seems easier when she is able to walk to me and put her head on me to let me know she isn't feeling well.  I can not imagine her being 6mo and teething.

Desine - how does DD react to teething?  Is it difficult on you both?  What is effected (sleep, attitude, etc.)?

I heard that the longer that teeth take to come in, the easier teething may be.  At the rate we are going, she will one day wake up with a full set of teeth without even realizing anything was coming through!  lol.

Well she got her first teeth at six months and now has all eight teeth in the front and 3 jaw teeth coming in ight now. The biggest thing I notice is interrupted sleep. You can tell when she is teething because she will wake up every hour all night crying. I have also noticed that she eats less when she is teething and gets super fussy. Now she will bite her arm and start chewing on everything when it is bothering her. I certainly hope things go a bit easier for your LO when her teeth finally start coming in. I am honestly exhausted from it lol.

Poor LO, Desine!  Poor you!  That does sound rough.  I have heard such horror stories from teething.  It's terrible to hear about.  Do any teething tablets work for your DD?  Or do you just skip them and hope for the best?

Seriously, I think anything that causes interrupted sleep can be pretty difficult.  I still need 10hrs of sleep to feel functional.  This parenthood crap isn't for the weak, that's for sure!  :)
