Girl's Name Spelling

If this baby is a girl, we have decided to name her Emily.  A few weeks ago, I started considering whether we should spell it Emily or Emilie.  Does anyone have any opinions?  DH thinks Emilie is trying too hard....

Me - 32, DH - 32. We have been TTC #2 since January 2012.
BFP on 12/3/12, EDD 8/19/13, U/S 1/17/13 showed blighted ovum, d&c 1/24/13

As a teacher, it's difficult enough to learn names, nevermind all the diff spellings. Last year I had an Emily who wanted to be "Emmaleigh" and an Emilee. In the same class...ugh.

Agreed.  It will be easier on you and your DD if you spell it Emily.  Neither of you will have to correct it so much.  Love Emily btw!

My biggest pet peeve is when people change traditional spellings to make them "different". So personally I say go for Emily.  Plus if she ever wants to have those key chains and pencils with her name on them you won't find them spelled "Emilie".

Emily. I see no need to spell it any other way.
dx homozygous for 3 thrombophilias, poor egg quality, and most likely autoimmune problem. Anything I'm missing?
