Injectables?

Hi ladies.

My RE suggested trying injectables this month.  I'm not sure how I feel about that as I'm already getting 3 good sized follies every month.  I'm also feeling like the continued Letrozole is making me more hormonal than normal. Obviously the stress of IF doesn't help but I don't want to feel even crazier. 

What side effects did you guys get from the injectables?  And what results did you see from them?

I only get 1-2 follies with letrozole and on injectibles I had 6 mature but like 20 total and that was on a very low dose with close monitoring... You can always try it but if you are getting 3 you may get more than you bargain for... we went back to letrozole and I did get a bfp but ended in mc so I'm hoping this month will work on letrozole again... I have taken it about 5 times total prior to the bfp... so it might take the time I don't know...

I am on my second month of injectibles.  I have 0 side effects.  Last month I was overstimulated and they canceled my cycle.  If you have follies, I would just make sure they put you on a lower dose.  They thought 125 was low for me and I overstimmed.  I am now on 100.

It's worth a try!

Popping in to answer. I was always put on a low dose of Follistim (75iui) because I'm a quick responder. Being on 50mg of clomid would give me about 3 follies after 5 days. I never overstimmed on 75iui. They should watch you closely. Also, I really didn't have any side effects other than some ovarian achiness as they grew.
dx homozygous for 3 thrombophilias, poor egg quality, and most likely autoimmune problem. Anything I'm missing?
5 miscarriages, 1 exception DS born 4/10
TTC another miracle
3 failed cycles of clomid, 2 failed cycles of injectables, moving on to IVF 8/12
ER 8/20 22 eggs retrieved, 19 fertilized, 2 transferred, 9 frozen

I get 2-3 mature follies on a low dose of 75 per day of injectables. I think since you already respond so well to other meds I would keep your dose low, or you are likely to over stim and have to cancel the cycle. Good luck!
