I didn't have a pap at my 6 week pp.  You'll have a pap when you're due for your yearly exam like normal.  I think all my doc did was look down there and poke around and make sure everything was back to normal.  I don't remember any pain or discomfort or anything.

Me too. No pap because they only say I need one every three years and I had one last year. She checked to make sure everything looked ok. Didn't even really check internally. It was no biggie.

I agree with pps, I had no PAP at mine. All my doc did was talk to me about how things had been going, like breastfeeding, and how I've been feeling emotionally. I had a c-section so she checked to make sure the incision looked good, and just kinda poked around to make sure everything looked ok.

I had a pap at mine last week, but I normally have one around this time of year anyways.

This. I also had an episiotomy, and it wasn't painful.

I had a pap at my 6wk appt. and I had an episiotomy. There was no pain or discomfort. My dr also did a breast exam and checked to see how my uterus had shrunk. Everything was fine, even better then the dr expected.

I had mine today, and no PAP because I'm not due foe one. My OB checked to make sure my episiotomy healed correctly, asked some general health questions, how the baby was, etc... And then kicked me out with a script for birth control.

Thanks ladies! She did do a pap I guess it's routine at my OB office. It was uncomfortable but not nearly hat I expected. I was terrified! She was also talking lots about my next baby. Yikes! Not yet.

I had an almost 4th degree tear, and at my 6 week pp appointment I got a pap. I'm sorry to say that it hurt pretty bad. I was still pretty sore most of the time though.

I think you'll have a lot better luck than I did, since you had an episiotomy (I don't know how big of one you had though) and that you are sore only off and on.
