With each of my girls, my employers forced me onto leave about a week before I was due. With the boys, I'm working up until I either go into labor or until our scheduled induction/cs date. This is a desk job and I would rather be sitting here making money than sitting at home bored out of my mind.

My leave starts the week before I'm due.  I'm on my feet about 99.9% of my workday & it's already gotten pretty hard for me to keep up.

My last day in the office was October 31... I got sick, was in hospital November 2, then told to stay off work, got pneumonia 2 weeks later, and I still have a cough.... So not you average story.  Not to mention I've been categorized as high risk due to complications that I could have due to existing medical conditions.

I'm a hairstylist & own my own salon & I've made Dec. 23rd my last day for appointments. I'll be 38 weeks then. Also, I'll likely be induced at 39 weeks anyway so with that on top of Christmas being the week before I wouldn't be working anyway.

I'm a teacher, and if I couldn't teach from my seat, I would have gone out already.  But since I am able to work how I need to in order to stay comfortable and safe, I plan on working up until the last second.

Still working at 39 weeks. I will work until this little girl comes, although I work in a school, so our last day before Holiday Break is Friday. I did the same with my son, except he was born the first day of school, so I started that school year with maternity leave.

Working until I go in labor or the doctor makes me stop. I'm a PE teacher and I have had to start sitting more then I would like, but I'm still making it. I would rather save my leave for when LO is here.

My last scheduled day is a Thursday night, due date on Sunday.  

The plan is to work until she comes.  If for some reason I hit 40 weeks and she isn't here yet I will pick up partial shifts (either 4 or 6 hour shifts) until she comes.  Nothing like the physical labor of working in an ER to jump start labor! :)  Walking around the mall trying to induce labor has nothing on running around an ER!  :)  (At least that's what I'm telling myself!)  

Although I have to say, if I had the available leave and was sure I would stay up and moving I would love to go off earlier this time.  However I know even if I took off early it would just mean I would sit around the house more, which won't help anything.

I finished two weeks before my due date.  And, I used banked/paid sick days for this time before my babies arrival, which will be the start of my mat leave.

I put in for vacation the week of my due date. However, my leave will not officially start until the following week which is the day after the due date. Plus I also took an additional week of vacation, which I'm taking after my leave is up.

I guess I'm in the minority. I want to go on mat leave at 38 weeks. I work in a law firm with a lot of men - last thing I want is my water to break in the middle of the office.

This is my last week of work...I'm a dance teacher and it's getting painful. I'm not able to jump or stretch properly, and I'm exhausted after classes.

I'm looking forward to making freezer meals, cleaning the house and really setting up for baby...and hopefully relaxing!

I'll work up until I go into labor, like I did w/ DD.  I have a desk job, I'd be bored out of my mind at home, and since DH and I work in the same place, it makes much more sense for me to be there than hanging out at home by myself.  My hospital is just about halfway between home and work.

This is my last week of work and I will be 36 weeks on Saturday. I am not getting paid leave and am not returning to work after LO is born.

My doc said 36 weeks is normal for nurses to go off. I can't wait. I'm already getting to the point where certain movements are difficult, and I get really annoyed when perfectly able patients want me to do things that are incredibly difficult. Like, just cuz you're in the hospital doesn't mean I have to get down on the ground to put your socks on if you are perfectly able.

I just gave them my letter of resignation this past Saturday. Couldn't receive maternal leave since I wasn't working there long enough so I was pretty sad I had to resign. I'll be 38 weeks by then.

I am done this Friday at almost 36 weeks!  I can hardly wait!  I will be on vacation though until my due date as I've saved it up this year so I culs have the time off.   I am looking forward to relaxing a bit and  getting some things done before baby arrives!
