We got a picture of our little one and it looked like Charlie Brown's face drawn on the embie. Hence, he was referred to as "charlie" throughout the transfer :) I expect if they don't do a photo proactively, you could ask them to! We also took a camera as they showed our embie being drawn into the catheter on the TV screen (a view of the embryologist's microscope) and we took a video of that process, and a few pix of the screen as it switched back and forth between the microscope and ultrasound. We felt very included and like we were a part of the whole process! It took 3 tries to get our LO to 'let go' - s/he was very sticky! - so I got to see it a few times. The worst was how bad I had to pee, which was a bummer because I didn't feel totally present as I was sooooo uncomfortable.
They called the day after ER to tell me the # retrieved and fertilized (we had an egg donor); then called again on Day 3 to say we'd do a Day 5 transfer...so Day 2 and 4, no news. I guess on the 'even' days they just let them rest.
Hope that helps! :) Good luck!!!
