This. It might be spelled Lennon, but on the playground or in school, all people will hear is "Lenin." Plus, I strongly dislike the nn's Len and Lenny.

1. No. Aside from Beatles and dictator refs, it will always be heard as "lemon".

2. Not Lennon. Anything but Lennon.

i actually like Lennon. I'd be afraid he'd be called Lenny for short though, and Lenny isn't my taste.

Hate it. Like others have said, it reminds me of the Beatles or of the Russian Lenin.

Also, it's a last name to me. I am not usually fond of last names as first names.

Here's the problem - most kids don't learn about The Beatles in school. They do learn about the Russian dictator.  And both sound the same.  So there's a pretty good chance that if you name your kid Lennon, then his friends/classmates are going to give him a pretty rough time of it.
