Good luck this cycle! FX for you!

How old is your nursling and do you have any weening plans?

DS is 13 months. No weaning plans. I'm going to let him self wean whenever he is ready.

Where are you in your cycle, and what are your testing plans?

No clue! No pp ovulation or period yet. Playing the waiting game.

Insert any comments, concerns or questions about nursing and TTC here:

No questions. Just hoping I start ovulating before March, when we plan to start TTC.

Just for fun...With your last pregnancy, were you Team Pink, Blue, or Green? Do you think you will find out the sex next time?

We were team blue! I didn't like a lot of the gender neutral clothes and gear out there, and DH felt that he would have an easier time connecting with the baby if we knew. I do think we'll find out again.

How is everyone doing today? Fine, getting really sick of TTC.

How old is your nursling and do you have any weening plans? DS is 21 months old today -- crazy! I'm pretty much over nursing at this point (down to just once a day before bed) so we are going to try and wean after the craziness of the holidays.

Where are you in your cycle, and what are your testing plans? CD15, just about entering 2WW.

Insert any comments, concerns or questions about nursing and TTC here: Just so over it. Feeling really touched out at the moment.

Just for fun...With your last pregnancy, were you Team Pink, Blue, or Green? Do you think you will find out the sex next time? We were Team Blue. Once we have a girl and a boy, DH and I have decided to be Team Green, but for the time being, we will be finding out.

How is everyone doing today?  Looking forward to going out of town to see family for the holidays. We leave Friday so all sorts of last minute Christmas stuff to do.

How old is your nursling and do you have any weening plans? DD will be 18 months on Christmas Day (where has the time gone!?!) I'm considering weaning after the holidays, but have mixed emotions. We've never really given her cow's milk in a cup so I'm not sure how she'd do with it and I like knowing she's getting immunities and the vitamins from me. This is my first cycle charting so depending on how regularly I'm ovulating may affect whether or not we continue BFing as we look toward TTC. She currently nurses when she first wakes up in the morning and sometimes when she wakes up from her nap.

Where are you in your cycle, and what are your testing plans? First cycle charting and I *think* I O'd this weekend. We are trying to avoid this month as it's my first post-mirena cycle. Honestly we didn't do a great job of avoiding and possibly overlapped with the outer part of my fertile window as I'm new to charting and probably should have used protection. I've heard mixed info on conceiving immediately after mirena removal, but figure if it's meant to be it will be. No plans to test.

Insert any comments, concerns or questions about nursing and TTC here: Sometimes I'm so glad I'm still nursing for that connection with DD and just knowing she's getting the good stuff from me still as she's a picky eater. Her tastes are expanding though and as her diet becomes more balanced I'm thinking more about stopping. The idea of BFing while pregnant is also overwhelming - just knowing how taxing that would be on my body. We will see.

Just for fun...With your last pregnancy, were you Team Pink, Blue, or Green? Do you think you will find out the sex next time? Team Green! It was such an awesome special surprise to find out when she was born. I think we'd do it again to recreate that moment, but sometimes I do wonder if I would have felt a stronger connection while pregnant if I did know she was a girl. DD was an awesome surprise baby so I think I spent a portion of the pregnancy in shock. DD was born the day before our first wedding anniversary.

How is everyone doing today? I'm doing great. DD is getting over a cold, and it is nice to see her felling better. Yesterday she was pathetic (thought I loved the extra cuddles).

How old is your nursling and do you have any weening plans? 5 months. My cycle came back when dd was 3 months old despite following LAM guidelines. (I guess I'm in the 2%). We have no weaning plans. I still want to nurse her past the year mark, so I've started researching tandem nursing.

Where are you in your cycle, and what are your testing plans? I'm on CD 54, 5dpo. (Nursing is making me have long cycles.) I got my bfp with DD at 12dpo. Christmas day I'll be 12 dpo, so I'm hoping for an awesome Christmas gift.

Insert any comments, concerns or questions about nursing and TTC here: Anyone have tandem nursing experience? DD still has never had a bottle or solid foods, so I'm nervous about maintaining supply while pregnant.

Just for fun...With your last pregnancy, were you Team Pink, Blue, or Green? Do you think you will find out the sex next time? We were team pink, and we'll always find out. I'm too much of a planner and impatient. I have a lot of respect for people who are team green though.

I just discovered this check-in. It's nice to see other moms nursing and ttc at the same time. :)

How is everyone doing today?

- Doing well, new to this board and TTC (DD was a happy surprise).   Sending            babymaking dust everyone's way!

How old is your nursling and do you have any weaning plans?

- DD is 12.5 months.  I went back to work a month ago and partially weaned then.  Still nursing 2-4 times a day (morning, before bed, nightime wakeups (getting less frequent), and before her nap on days off work.  DD is allergic to dairy so I have no plans to wean any further any time soon since I don't really like any of the milk alternatives for this age.

Where are you in your cycle, and what are your testing plans?

- Not really sure.  I had some spotting Nov 9, not sure if that was AF or not.  That was my only sign of PPAF.  Testing every Friday since I'm not really sure what my cycle is doing, and that's my wine night.

Insert any comments, concerns or questions about nursing and TTC here:

- Not really any questions, would like to know when AF will return and I can have a little more predictability in my cycle, but I know no one can tell me that.  I just started charting my CM and temping, so getting the hang of that.  I'm trying not to let TTC take over my life, but I'm a little neurotic so that might happen.

Just for fun...With your last pregnancy, were you Team Pink, Blue, or Green? Do you think you will find out the sex next time?

- I was Team Pink.  I will find out again next time for sure.  I am an ultrasound tech so there is no way I could resist the temptation to peek at myself!  I'm going to try to wait until the a/s so I can find out with my husband this time, instead of scanning myself every week trying to figure it out as soon as possible!

I have no experience but wanted to share some info I thought you might find helpful. I have several friends who are tandem nursing. They just tried to make sure they were getting enough good calories during pregnancy. A dip in supply is normal, but your LO should nurse enough to make up for that. There are also steps you can take to increase your supply if you're concerned.

I love the info that LLL and kellymom.com have on everything breastfeeding:

http://www.lalecheleague.org/faq/bfpregnant.html

http://www.lalecheleague.org/faq/tandem.html

http://www.kellymom.com/

ETA: DS never took a bottle but now occasionally gets a sippy cup. At 5 months, your LO is still a bit young to start solids. We didn't offer any until DS was 7 months. Start when she is ready and remember that it is just for fun and practice really until she is a year old. Great job, mama!

Thanks for the info and links. :) I already notice a big difference in how much I eat nursing. I can only imagine the change while tandem nursing. It should be interesting. :)

I know! I've gotten away with some crazy eating habits while nursing, and it always makes for a great excuse to go back for seconds. I think they just recommend eating such that you feel comfortable while you're pregnant...but making sure that you're getting at least 1800 calories a day. I can hit that number easily, but when you're trying to get there with healthier foods, it becomes more challenging.

I plan to tandem nurse with DS and the next LO if he is still interested by then.

How is everyone doing today? I'm ok.  Still kinda out of it since Friday.  It's hard.

How old is your nursling and do you have any weening plans?  He's 21 months on the 26th - yikes.  My kid is almost 2!!!  No plans to wean yet.

Where are you in your cycle, and what are your testing plans? CD 25 here but, I haven't started charting again so who knows.  FF predicted O to be CD 22 based upon my last cycle.  The closet my opk came was on CD 22 and I think I got a positive on CD 23 too.  Ugh.  We did not have sex after CD 22 so if my o was late then I'm sol this month.

Insert any comments, concerns or questions about nursing and TTC here: Actually I am convinced I oed on CD19 because I felt gawd awful that day despite lack of positive opk.  I've been getting ovulation nausea since my cycle came back and I can't think of any other reason why I would feel so darn bad. Anyone else have bad ovulation nausea???

Just for fun...With your last pregnancy, were you Team Pink, Blue, or Green? Do you think you will find out the sex next time?  Team Blue and we'll find out this time.  I love connecting with my fetus that way :)

I wanted to introduce myself and say hi. I'm new to this board. (:

How is everyone doing today? I'm doing good and excited for Christmas and vacation next week.

How old is your nursling and do you have any weening plans? Maddie will be 14 months on Christmas Eve. I honestly haven't even read anything about weaning yet. I work full time and no longer pump. She nurses in the evening when I get home, occassionally a little during the night, and early morning just before I leave for work. We're gradually cutting back.

Where are you in your cycle, and what are your testing plans? I still have not had a normal cycle. I had a period last month and thought I was finally ready to start charting and get going on #2 when I kept getting negative OPKs and was due to have my period a week ago and still nothing.

Insert any comments, concerns or questions about nursing and TTC here: N/A

Just for fun...With your last pregnancy, were you Team Pink, Blue, or Green? Do you think you will find out the sex next time? We were Team Green. It was so much fun and we plan to do it again. I was convinced I was having a boy and loved the surprise. (=

Sorry for being tardy to the party on this one, it's been a busy day here celebrating DS first birthday!

How is everyone doing today? Doing great today! Beautiful winter day in MN!

How old is your nursling and do you have any weening plans?

One year old TODAY! I don't know where the time has gone!

I was thinking as I was nursing DS today that I am so proud that we made it to the one year mark, it was tough in those early days. We are slowly in the process of weaning down to just morning and night. Right now he is still nursing before nap times too, but I'm hoping to cut that out after the holidays.

Where are you in your cycle, and what are your testing plans?

I am just waiting for my body to do something, still no PPAF. I had my Mirena removed on 11/1 and had some light cramping/bleeding from that, but nothing since. I am tempting and checking CM, but no ovulation yet.

Insert any comments, concerns or questions about nursing and TTC here:

I just wish my body would do something already! I know it is still perfectly normal to not get AF at a year PP since I am still nursing 3-4 times per day, but I am very impatiently waiting to start TTC #2.  My ultimate goal is to catch the first egg and just go straight into being pregnant again, but I won't hold my breath.

Just for fun...With your last pregnancy, were you Team Pink Blue, or Green? Do you think you will find out the sex next time?

We were Team Blue last time. DS was a surprise, so we didn't feel up to having any more surprises. We have tossed around the idea of being Team Green next time around, but we will see. Ideally, we'd find out with LO #2 and if it's a girl we'd be Team Green for #3.

How is everyone doing today? We're all sick, DD2 is still working on her first 2 teeth which is not going well.

How old is your nursling and do you have any weening plans? 13mo, when I'm home I nurse on demand, 4-6x but on working days I pump on the am drive then nurse ~3x/evening.  I'm thinking about dropping the am pump after the new year.

Where are you in your cycle, and what are your testing plans? no AF yet

Insert any comments, concerns or questions about nursing and TTC here: I didn't have a PP AF after DD1 until 16mo then didn't ovulate for a few months, I guess I'm hoping it was a coincidence that I didn't have a viable pregnancy until DD1 weaned.

Just for fun...With your last pregnancy, were you Team Pink, Blue, or Green? Do you think you will find out the sex next time? We were team pink, and we'll find out again, if nothing but to coordinate which set of baby cloths to get (back) from my sister.  Our chief of radiology is about to propose that they don't tell the sex of fetus to mothers at anatomy scans as there have been some law suits at other hospitals and the hospitals lost..... regardless I have an US machine in my clinic and can do USs on myself (did with the last 2) so we'll figure it out.
