What about (girl's name)...

I really have no idea about girl's names, but I have a feeeling that at my appt tomorrow we are going to find out we are having a girl. So I am starting to really think about girl's names. Please tell me what you think about:

Caitlyn Elizabeth

Not sure I would spell the first name like it is above. Elizabeth is my mom's name and I would really like to use it. I would really like a first name with a hard "c" sound.

Suggestions are more than welcomed.

I really like Caitlin Elizabeth, but I prefer this spelling.

 

 

 

I will say that this is the name of Honey Boo Boo's niece.  (WHY DO I KNOW THAT).

I like it, but don't love it. 

Elizabeth= LOVE, but something about Caitlin (prefer this spelling) doesn't sound grown up enough.  I have a co- worker with this name (though she spells it Katlyn) and it just sounds like an eternal little girl's name.

I really like Elizabeth but am not a fan of Caitlin, no matter how it's spelled (although Caitlin is the best spelling IMO).  I agree with the pp who said it sounds juvenile.

I like the suggestions of Camille and Colette.

Caitlin (this is my preferred spelling) is pretty, but between all of the different spellings, it's very popular.

I like it. I also like Catherine as another name with the hard C sound you want. I disagree with the posters who think Caitlyn sounds too juvenile.

I LOVE Elizabeth, but Caitlin (spelled this way; I hate unnecessary y's) is just okay for me.  Other suggestions for hard "c" names:

If you don't mind super popular names, use Caitlin.  Otherwise, I love Caroline.  It was on my short list too.

I think Caitlin Elizabeth flows well, but Caitlin is NMS. I prefer this spelling to the use of an unneeded Y.

I love the PP suggestion of Catherine Elizabeth. It was one of my top choices for DD. I also like Clara.

I am a Caitlin, and I really can't recommend the name. Between all the ridiculous spellings and the problem of sounding like a perpetual 5-yr-old, it's just not good.

If you do decide to use Caitlin, spell it however you want because there is a 0% chance of anyone ever spelling it your way, no matter what.
