Staying hydrated

I'm really having a problem staying so hydrated, I'm getting tired of drinking just water. Any tips on how you ladies stay hydrated for you and the baby?

Flavored water, juice (you can add splashes of it to water to cut down on the sugar intake) and don't forget that your food counts too.  So fruit, soups, popsicles, etc. all count.

I've been so addicted to Popsicles lately! Which is weird because I'm always cold.

I've been drinking a ton of Gatorade and adding MiO to my water. It's sugar free, caffeine free etc and it's really yummy =) And you can add as much flavor as you want. I've found that to be easiest for me because I hate just plain water too. =) It is a tad expensive but well worth it. Some stores like Sam's Club sells them in packages (like 3 in a pack) and it lasts a couple months give or take. But that's where I throw in the Gatorade too, to not always be drinking the MiO.

Hope this helps!

=)

I drink some decaf green tea in the morning to mix things up.  When I start feeling really nauseous again, I'll turn to my crystal light with electrolytes.  It has B6 in it, which I think helps me both with the nausea and with getting some fluids in me.

I believe in a lot of things. I believe in fresh tennis balls, the healing power of bunnies, and that the novels of Susan Sontag are something I'll never read. In fact, I don't even know who Susan Sontag is. What is she... like... a painter? I believe in Crystal Lite because I believe in ME. I believe in the movies of Val Kilmer, though these days it ain't so easy. I believe in Darren Sproles, the word "dabble", the first season of "Silk Stockings", and big, warm, moist, gooey chocolate chip cookies that melt in your mouth and all over your face.

I put lemon and cucumbers in my water. I also drink ginger tea and ice tea. Those both count towards your hydration levels. Most of the time it tastes better ice cold. Just keep trying.

Keep in mind carbs break down into glucose, and gatorade has a boatload in it. So saying it's "sugar free" isn't strictly true.   Also, crystal light and similar drinks have aspartame which many Dr.'s advise pregnant women against consume.

Lemon and cucumber in water is a GREAT idea.  Ice tea -- keep in mind the caffeine count.

I was a serious soda drinker prior to finding out I was pregnant so I cut that out with sparkling water and flavored seltzers.

I don't know the MiO product but you're really not supposed to be having artificial sweeteners and if it doesn't have sugar but tastes sweet it probably has aspartame or a similar product.

aspartame is totally fine.  It's saccharin you are supposed to avoid
