Never had a swing, didn't miss it. I wouldn't have let dd sleep in it for long naps anyways. No boppy here, or bumbo, or rock 'n play, did fine without any of those.
Bouncy seat was worth it's weight in gold. My dd had severe reflux and so keeping her upright was key. I would put a folded blanket to smooth the curve in it out and it was the best. I couldn't lay her down flat on the floor hardly ever and so it was a lifesaver. Portable and entertaining. I had the kind that made music, had dangle toys, etc..used it in the living room, in the bathroom while I took a shower, in the kitchen when I did dishes, etc...I love the exersaucer. Got it for free and I know a friend who got a used one for $5.00. She's still using it at 9 months. Also love the carriers (Bjorn, and Ergo), as well as my Chariot stroller.
