seansgirl2006:If she is really crying that much and
actually screaming that often I would take her in. You definitely do
not have to have a fever to have an ear infection. DS1 had so many ear
infections his first year and we never had any indication other than
when we happened to be at the dr for well checks and found out. Once we
noticed a pattern we started taking him in when he had bad colds
because we knew with him it would lead to an ear infection and it always
did. He ended up needing tubes and then grew out of it, totally fine
now. Anyway, my point is he never pulled on his ears, cried, had a
fever, nothing. He acted normal and happy and we had no idea that his
ears were horrible. Not saying this for sure is an ear infection but
might be good to rule it out and whatever other ideas your dr may
have.
I'm beginning to think she's just at a "screaming stage". She rarely
cries, but she screams when she's tired, she screams when hungry, she
screams when she needs to burp, she screams when she's in pain (gas,
possibly teething), she screams when she flipped over on her belly and is stuck, she even screams when she's happy! LOL It has gotten slightly better, so unless it gets worse again I'll just wait until her pedi appointment next week.
speer06:Well last night was better than before. I checked her mouth this evening and she actually has her first tooth coming in! Have you made any progress in figuring out what's wrong with your little one?
I'm glad last night was better for you. Yay for her first tooth!
As for me, one
morning I thought maybe she is cold. She always has a long sleeve on,
but I put a thicker sweater over it and she actually screamed less...
for a few hours. She also screams less after longer naps, but those are
few and far between these days. Only one time were her screams really
really bad. I gave her some tempra and she eventually calmed down. I
really think it's just teething. Just a very long teething phase... My
friend said her son was fussy like that for a good two weeks before
every tooth that came out.
