29w3d U/S baby 3.5lbs and 57th percentile. Am I on track?

All measurements on the u/s (head, midsection, etc) put him around 31 weeks. Am I a week further along, or is he just big? Hopefully he doesn't get too big!

Things measuring a week ahead doesn't mean that you're a week ahead, but you could be.  Unless you know when you ovulated then the early growth U/S is the most accurate predictor of EDD.  Baby will come when baby is done cooking though and that could be anywhere from 38-42 weeks.  Considering the estimated measurements are in the 57th percentile it sounds like you're right on track.  I wouldn't start getting concerned about what baby's estimated size is.  Just know that your body will grow the baby that is right for you and trust in the process.  Paying attention to the guesstimates can really mess with your head.

U/s measurements are notoriously inaccurate. And no, his size is not a determinate of his age. My little sister is bigger than me, but not older. Each baby grows at different rates.

My experience was that my 36 week growth u/s said DS was already 7lbs. Even the tech said that there was no way he was that big already. He was born at 40 week weighing 7.5lbs, Don't let the numbers worry you at all.

Sounds like he's healthy!  I measured 3 weeks ahead for a few appointments, then caught up. Growth u/s are usually inaccurate, and doctors are notoriously bad at measuring fundal height from the same spot each time.

At 30w I was almost 4 lbs and last week at 37w my little man was estimated 8.5. So it really could be either way.  Some weeks they grow faster than others too so he could have just had a growth spurt.  My dr told me 8.5 was average for 37 weeks.

Supposedly my baby is around 2 lbs 7 oz which is 65th percentile or something.  I guess he's "on track" for him since everyone grows at different rates and he's not off the charts either way (I know when he was conceived, too).  I wouldn't sweat it.  At this point it's more likely that he's just a bit bigger than average, not that you conceived him earlier.

57% is basically average. So yes you're almost perfectly on track. Although if you were at 30% or 70% you'd still be on track. Babies range from 0%-100% by definition. If your kid is below 10% or above 90% they might get concerned. Other than that, normal.
