BIG Pads

Soo I'm making a list of stuff I would like to have ready at home after delivering and keep being told to have a nice stock of HUGE maxi-pads!  However, one of my friends who just had her LO, said She could not find any anywhere in our area!  Do any of you know a website I can order them from or would maybe a medical supply store have them?  Was seeing where some use depends, but not too keen on that Idea, just seems strange to me anyway.

 Thank you in advance!

I just overlapped two long overnight pads and did fine. They worked better than the hospital pads that didn't fit well and leaked.

The hospital gave me some and then when I got home the regular pads worked for me.  Don't forget to get the tucks pads that are soaked in witch hazel they totally helped with the swelling! I used those for about a week after delivery. GL!

I used the long overnight ones and they worked great. I know when I was pregnant last time a bunch of posters recommended staying away from the Always Infinity ones because the lining on them kept catching on their stitches. Since I didn't need stitches, I'm not sure if that is correct or not, but something to think about.

I took extra home from the hospital by the time those were gone (a day or so worth) a super overnight type pad was just fine. You should be able to find those at the store.

I DO NOT like Infinity. I don't find them absorbent or comfortable at all!

This! Also they DID catch on my stitches and made me soooo itchy and even gave me a rash :-/ I ended up trying cloth pads with DS2 and liked it so much better. Honestly though I got so many of the ones from the hospital that I still have 2 unopened packs in my bathroom!

My hospital gave me a bunch when I left.  I was very fortunate that I didn't bleed that bad after the first few days home.  By 2 weeks post partum, I was done bleeding.

I agree with PP, double up the super maxis!  And ask the nurses for a bunch of the hospital ones.

I wore overnight pads the week before DD "just in case" they were the always brand, not sure if it was infinity or not, but the extra long ones. I have to say, I wore it to the hospital AS my water was "actively breaking" and not a drop got on the car I highly recommend them before, during, and after!

All you ladies are SOO helpful!  Thank you, BTW, I did see some stuff on ladies NOT liking the Always because of the lining too.  I'll be gathering coupons and keeping my eyes out for some good overnight ones then!

I'm just going to throw this out there -- I bled heavily after I gave birth (apparently worse than normal) and ended up sleeping in adult diapers for a couple of days.  It was the only way to guarantee that I wouldn't get blood on the sheets - the overnight pads weren't going to cut it - and I really didn't care at that point.  It wasn't a great solution, but it worked and I'll do it again this time if I need to.
