A couple of DD's?

Is it just me or are there a few posts missing?  The diaper raffle/book instead of a card post and the pot luck post.  I know I responded in both of those and *poof* they are both gone now.

You are right...they are gone.  I wonder why they DD'ed because if I remember correctly neither were hosting their own shower and both of them got really good advice and very little snark (if any).  Maybe they thought their host would come on the board and see what they had posted?  Weird.

The potluck shower post did get a little iffy, but it wasn't really directed at the OP. I made a joke about how each platter or bowl ought to be left as a favor to the MTB. Then someone else added that the diapers for the raffle could be used as potholders... Nothing was obviously directed at the OP but she might have been miffed.

Oh well.

 I was the instigator of that fun.  It just grew from the previous threads about books and cards - I meant it to be harmless and funny.  I don't think that was the problem, though, because the OP came back later and thanked some people for their thoughts.  I dunno!

Oh, and wasn't the diaper raffle/book post the one where the OP said it was okay for her to ask for books because she and her friends "are readers"? (And how could we non-readers argue with that?)

Also ghostmonkey (I think?) got mad about the usual stuff in that one, IIRC.

Hey Joy! I remember now that you started that - and I remember feeling pleased with our cleverness as a group!

If she didn't DD right away then I guess some other bee got in her bonnet. I think sometimes people just don't know the rules of the road, maybe?
