Congratulations to our BFPs and hugs to those that need them!!

I'm 4dp3dt and just struggling through the 2ww.  I've had a much harder time with the PIO shots this cycle.  My first IVF cycle, I didn't know what everyone was complaining about - I only had one day where I got a knot at the injection site, no other issues.  This time my hips are so swollen you can see the swelling through my clothes!  Good times!

This time I'm also having a hard time staying hopeful and positive... I'm just so darn scared it won't work again.  *sigh*

QOTW:  I just started a book called Ready Player One that seems like it's going to be really good.  Probably the top book I would recommend this year is Gone Girl - great mystery/thriller.  2nd would be The Dovekeepers.

wow.. congrats to all the BFPs.  I hope the christmas season brings more!  Hugs to those that need them!  I got cancelled, but hoping the IUI conversion is successful.  If not, I'll be stimming with the February group.

QOTW:  I don't read a whole of books since by nature of my profession I have to read tons of statutory and case law.  The last book I read was "Love the One your With".  The author also wrote Something Blue and Something Borrowed, both of which I've read.  They are great girly books and will give you a laugh!

Good Morning Bunnies!!

(((hugs))) to those that need them and high fives to all those BFP's!!!

I am 4dp3dt and not too much is going on here. Just a little crampy, tired, and really doing my best to take it easy! I have tried to test out my trigger with some sheepies and all I have gotten BFN's, so it looks like I am good to go when we test next week Big Smile

QOTW: The last book I was able to make it all the way through was called The Peach Keeper and it was really good. It is a quick read, great for something fun.

If anyone is looking for a great book based on a true story-- The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks is awesome! It's the only non-chick litty book I have made it all the way through in a while :) and the story is eye-opening and very compelling.

QOTW: I have been reading the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. They say its in the romance genre but I feel like it is miscategorized. It is probably better labeled as historical adventure, as it draws a lot on historical events and I'm a big history buff. I would definitely recommend the series, but also would recommend to read The Help, A Stolen Life by Jaycee Dugard (really sad but proceeds go to a foundation for children), The Lovely Bones, The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown, and because I'm a nerd all of the Harry Potter books. Oh! But if you are into urban fantasy (fairies in modern day NY) read anything by Holly Black, the three I like are Tithe, Valiant and Ironside. There, I'm off my reading rainbow soapbox.

FET scheduled for tomorrow, and I don't know when beta is. I kinda don't want to think about it! Stick out tongue  Congrats to the bfp's, hugs for bfn's and best of luck to everyone else!

I'm at 8dp5dt. I tested yesterday since I was inspired by the early HPT results that people were getting. It was a BFN. Because of that I'm not testing at home again until tomorrow (which will be the day before beta). I know I should stay positive, but I'm already getting sad. That could be a good thing, so I'm not blindsided when I get the beta results (if they're negative).

I haven't been reading squat lately. I've been so busy with work and the holidays (and this whole IVF thing) to sit down for a moment.

TTC since 2/11 - Unexplained IF B/W revealed high prolactin levels. Taking bromocriptine for prolactin.

Hi ladies,

I am 4dp3dt. I tested out the trigger this morning and it is out of my system. I am planning on testing again before my beta which is 12/26. I am feeling a bit crampy and tired. Hoping the crampy and tired is a good sign. One one of our remaining embroy's made it to freeze stage. Hugs to everyone that needs them.

I haven't read anything lately. I have been so busy getting ready for the holidays.

Hello Snow bunnies! Congrats to all the BFP's! And GL to all the 2ww'ers.

As far as symptoms, I had those strange fluttery cramps right after my transfer, and then again about 2 days later. That's about it.

Update: I'm in beta purgatory. My ultrasound is Jan. 2nd, I was hoping it would be sooner so I can get rid of some of this anxiety.

QOTW:  I'm looking for a new book to get into right now.

Update: Beta #1 was 148, and I had the blood draw this morning for beta #2, so hopefully they call me in the next few hours with more good news.  I live about 45 minutes from my clinic (in CO), and we're having a blizzard today, but we drove up anyway.  I have an Outback with snow tires that DH calls the "snow tank."  :-)  Wasn't that bad.

QOTW:  I recently read World War Z: An Oral History, which is the basis of the new zombie movie with Brad Pitt coming out, I think, next summer.  It was an interesting take on "zombies" in general.

Yay for all the snow bunny BFPs!  I hope they keep coming!  Good luck to everyone in the 2ww, that time is a horrible wait.

SO MANY POSITIVES!  Congrats to everyone so far!

10dp5dt, and my beta's tomorrow, so I'm trying not to freak out about my constant cramping, mild nausea, and perpetually sore boobs.  But for the first time in a really long time I'm EXCITED about taking a pregnancy test, and that's a good feeling.  I'm pretty sure I've run out of places to get the PiO shout, though, because they're being a much bigger pain then they had been before.

QotW: I WISH I'd read something recently!  I've re-read a few of my chick lit books - Jen Lancaster's Bitter is the New Black and My Fair Lazy are two that come to mind.  But nothing actually good or meaningful, unfortunately.  I did have a friend recommend The Night Circus, but I haven't really had the time/energy to invest in a new book, though it's on my list!

Thanks!  I just feel bloated with sore boobs, but I've felt like that the entire time from the estrogen and progesterone supplements.  I will be happy when they start to wean me off those!

For World War Z, I'm sure they will make it WAY more exciting than the book.  They'll take all those fight scenes with a little filler in between. But hey, Brad Pitt and zombies, how can you not see it?

Hey Snow Bunnies!  I updated yesterday and beta was postive...now I have a whole new sleu (w?) of worries though...like will the beta double, etc...it never ends!  As far as symptoms go I had cramping the entire time after my ET so I'd say cramps is a good sign!  I'm still having them.  My other "symptom" is a "cloudy" head (I'm so forgetful, have trouble concentrating) and headaches.

Books:  Someone on here recommended Tina Fey's book which I can't remember the title.  I started it and it's really funny!  I would definately recommend it.

Good luck to all the Snowbunnies!!!  I'm rooting for all of you!!!

I'm 5dp5dt and just feel bloated, crampy on and off, and my lower back has been really achy.  The latter probably has more to do with my lack of activity than anything else.

My beta is scheduled for the 26th which seems like forever and a day from now.  I can't decide if I want to wait it out or test early.  I'm dying to know, but terrified of the results!

QOTW: I've been reading a biography Soul of a Chef for months so that's clearly not grabbing my interest.  Dearie, Gone Girl and World War Z are on my list to check out next.

Congrats to all the BFPs!!  And hugs to those who need them!  Good luck to everyone!

My beta is tomorrow! I'm going a bit crazy. I'm getting barely there, super faint, wouldn't see unless you look really really hard, second lines on my htps. I had a booster HCG shot on day of FET, it was only 600 ius. I've been testing since 1dp5dt and once it got to this super faint stage (5dp5dt), it has stayed that way. It's such a mind game! It's not dark enough for me to feel truly excited yet.

"Symptoms"/progesterone s/e's: I feel off and on crampy with lower back pain like AF is coming, tender breasts, dizziness upon standing

I don't know what to think, but I'm staying optimistic. These next 24 hours are going to be UNBEARABLE!!!

I generally don't have a lot of time to be active on the boards during the day, so this is my first SB check-in since I seem to be doing very little work while enduring this last portion of the 2WW. I hope this is okay.

I am 8dp5dt and am in FRER limbo. I had a faint second line on Monday (6dp5dt), which I thought was an evap because I got a stark white negative the next AM (7dp5dt) but then I got a clear positive last night, popped right up and was very pink. This morning I got a BFN again. It seems my evening urine is more potent than my FMU, which goes against everything I have ever heard. My beta is tomorrow, so at least I will know the real outcome soon. I have learned a hard lesson about POAS before beta.

Symptoms: Nausea/food aversion, sore breasts on and off, some fatigue. I also seem to be getting warm/winded quickly, like while cleaning or walking up stairs. This could all be estrogen/progesterone related though, so who knows.

QOTW: I really liked Gone Girl. Lately I have been reading my way through Phillipa Gregory's The Cousin's War series, they are pretty good and a great way to pass time during the 2WW.

Hooray for all the BFPs!  Let's keep them coming!  My beta is 12/26 and I actually have no desire to test beforehand.  I'm going to relax and enjoy Christmas with the family.

QOTW:  I am reading Sisterhood Everlasting (the last in the Traveling Pants books).  I am way to old for you young adult market, but I love these books!

I'm checking in, dammit! I just don't care. Honey badger don't give a sh!t if her cycle's been cancelled.

UPDATE ON ME: I don't think I'm pregnant but I have been eating more! Didn't drink any wine last night b/c I still felt pretty crappy from the OHSS bloating but maybe tonight will be the night. I'm also hatching a plan to pour nacho cheese sauce on some red-hot chee.tos when I get home! What? Don't judge me.

I haven't heard from the clinic yet with a report on how many embryos they froze today. I'm assuming that call will come later, and then they're supposed to give me an update tomorrow.

QOTW: Here are some of the books sitting on my bedside table waiting for me: "Crying and Eating Chocolate: An Underrated Therapy," "Resuming Intimacy With Your Husband After Three Years of Conception-Only Intercourse," "The Infertile's Guide to Blocking People on Facebook" and "Eff You, Prenatal Vitamins. You're Just Regular Vitamins At 15 Times The Price."

TTC #1 for about 3.5 years

HIM: 38, Perfect. (Showoff.)
Month before starting Clomid, spontaneous pregnancy. m/c at 7 weeks and D&C.
Four months of Clomid, one IUI, with Intralipid each cycle: BFNs all
IVF 1.0 July 2012 -- Lupron, bravelle, menopur, estrogen, progesterone supps, intralipid. 14 ER, 14 fertilized, 1 blast transferred, 2 on ice. BFN
FET 1.1 -- 10/2, transferred our 2 blasts. Lupron, PIO, estrogen, baby aspirin, prednisone. BFN.
IVF 2.0 December 2012 -- Bravelle, Menopur, Ganirelix, Prednisone, Metformin, estrogen, progesterone supps. 22 eggs retrieved on 12/14, 17 mature, 15 fertilized. OHSS anticipated so ET cancelled. 3 embryos frozen.
Broke up with old RE. Moving on to new dude. Maybe the change of scenery will be just the trick for our frosties. On BCPs for possible April FET.

Juicy71:

I've had a much harder time with the PIO shots this cycle.  My first IVF cycle, I didn't know what everyone was complaining about - I only had one day where I got a knot at the injection site, no other issues.  This time my hips are so swollen you can see the swelling through my clothes!  Good times!

I felt that way at first, too! I think the problems compound the more shots. After a while, my hips were so hard from PIO I could have cracked walnuts with them.

As for your non-updated siggy, the way I finally got mine to update was by having one window open with just one of my posts available.  Then I opened another window to actually edit my post in.  I would hit save on the edit in window 2 and then go back to window 1 and refresh my post.  Wash, rinse, repeat until change actually appears in window 1.  For a change that I'd already tried to make prior to trying this approach, the change appeared immediately the first time I did this but then I got greedy and decided to make another change.  Using the above procedure, it only took 3-4 times to get the change to go through.  GL!!

Yay for all those BFPs keep them coming!!!  I am happily waiting for my transfer harass dh all day everyday to see if he got an update on our embies.  As far as books, I liked The Help, but everyone did.  I would not suggest reading the last book of the Hunger Games.  And I like anything by Sophie Kinsella (or her real name Madelyn Wickham).  But in all honesty I have only been reading magazine like Star and other nonsense. And obsessively reading information on IVF.
