What about Gabriella as a formal FN?
Edited to add: What about Brianna?
Helenahhandbasket:What about Gabriella as a formal FN?
mel1987: Helenahhandbasket:What about Gabriella as a formal FN?It's funny, right after I had my DD I was convinced if I had another daughter her name would be Gabriella. But now it just seems too... fancy? I don't know if that makes sense.
I don't think it's fancy--and IMO, it pairs well with your other children's names. There is also Gabrielle-- which is a bit less frilly sounding, and would still work with the nn Bree.
I think Bree is fine as a stand alone name.
I think Aubree is - um - horrific. Aubrey would be better, but I still don't love it.
Bree is fine, though if I were a Bree I would appreciate having a longer name to fall back on.
I really dislike this spelling of Aubree, but what about something like Brianna, Brielle/Briella, etc?
banannapeach85:Definitely Bree. Aubree is just awful.
This. I know a little girl named Aubree. Everyone calls her Bree.
I actually love Aubree (or Aubrey) as a girls name. I think it is classic and quite pretty.
ETA: I looked up the meaning and (it was originally a mans name) it means "elfin king" and for that reason alone I love it even more!

This! I actually love Bree, it's my middle name!
